I am lucky to have just survived my first round of uni exams ever! I'm surprised that I just didn't care... I think it was because I didn't feel like I HAD TO BE THE BEST, and that I didn't really have anyone to compete with because you don't really get to know how everyone is doing. And I didn't feel like I had to impress the marker, cuz they don't know who I am... gods, I think I may have failed with that attitude.
Okay, enough ranting for me! Hows everyone elses sem1 exams going?

I know the feeling. I used to get so stressed about exams, and always want to do really well, because that's what I was used to at school and I think I felt for a while that people expected it of me. But now I'm into my 5th year of being at uni, doing a different course where no-one knows me from before and has no expectations, and I find that I just don't care that much anymore. I rarely get stressed about them anymore. I think I figure that med is so competitive there's absolutely no way that I could ever get the marks I used to, so if I don't bother trying really really hard anymore then I won't be dissapointed. If I tried hard, and still didn't get those marks then I'd be annoyed, so it's easier just not to try Sometimes I think that's not such a good attitude, but it's not like I don't work hard. I just don't bother working really really hard, and enjoy life more than I did Remember, P's get degrees

I have finished my exam block (about 3 weeks ago) so I am happy. I did really well, even though I didn't study much. And I wasn't THAT nervous My school has exam block in Term 2 and 4. In Term 1 and 3 we still have exams, just not at the same time. And we always have assignments

well considering these are my first uni exams, i really have no idea what to expect. I think that's the scariest part of uni, the absolute unpredicatbility.
Scary!

Hey Ashta, which UTas campus are you at? Yea gods, I don't think there's a desk in the hobart uni bar that doesn't wobble.
Good luck Squarmi and everyone who is still undergoing the hideousness of sem1 exams.

I going to regret saying this but... as part of my second half of my senior year my 2 education dept subjects have..........NO EXAMS just moderations which I think is much more work but with less last minute craming which is not good on the sleep factor

Yeah, I only had one exam this year.. my other subjects just have major assignments with 60% weighting. The year before last I had more take-home exams - a week to produce an essay. For a subject like archaeology, with the importance of referencing, it's a whole lot better.

You do Archaeology clare? I am soo jealous! And referencing is SOOO important in any history subject. I do ancient civilisations and they are soo strict about correct referencing.

Final exam for the semester is in five minutes!
I am SO buggered!!! Everydbody PLEASE send me good exam vibes, because ICK!!! This is looking super bad!!!
Note to Self: You will not fail. Even if you do, and you won't, as long as you don't totally flunk, you're credit on the essay will scrape you a pass for the course.
Kayt: SHUT UP!!! YOU THINK YOU'RE SO SMART, BRAIN!!! WELL IF YOU'RE SO SMART, LEARN ABOUT FEDERALISM IN THE NEXT THREE MINUTES, JERK!!!
Calm... calm...
I HATE afternoon exams! I like the morning ones where by the time I'm awake enough to start panicking, it's already over!
I have my cheating abbreviations. PURFS, NUNZARC, PURFS, NUNZARC, PURFS, NUNZARC. If I just remember what they stand for, I may well get through this.
PURFS NUNZARC!!!
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chill, Kayt. Chill...
Okay... better go now... it's only next door, but you know. Better look keen...

Thankyou Avvy... right around 2:02 I was struck with a sudden inspiration and I thought "Purfs Nunzarc" and didn't know why.
Avvy: Really?
Kayt: No. Not really! But I'm sure you're good vibes helped! They can't take marks off for what it says between the lines, can they? Because every paragraph just screamed "NOT ELBORATING BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!"
Just as long as they only mark it on the totally accurate and hopefully persuasive things I wrote I should be okay!
Keep sneding good vibes, people!!! *sends them back for whoever needs them*

Awww. I thought if I made it yellow then it would strengthen our psychic connection. I guess we're not long lost identical twins separated at birth after all.
