Well, i'm not Lucy and I don't know a lot about Flash Gordon, but I love the Queen song about him
Actually, somtime me and my friend were signing it and another riend didn't kno the song but heard the word flash and started talking about him and then some othe stuf happened and it's not really an interesting story.

I sort of remember flash although i think i was very little when i saw the movie... all i remember is the red costume?
Has anyone seen the smallville episode with the young flash in it?

Yep, though thats 'The Flash', not Flash Gordon.
The film is good (and they're trying to make another), there was a cartoon series in the 80's (from the same people that did He-Man), and there was a black & white series shown at the cinema in the 30's i think (there was also a Buck Rogers and King of the Rocketmen series at the same time)

See, I was gonna add that, and several other quotes, but I thought people might get the impression that I'm obsessed...but it's lines like that that make it such a classic! Thanks for this thread Dark One, it's cheered me up so much ;D

i saw some of the 80s movie quite recently, couldn't watch it in it's entirety coz i was vastly outnumbered by those who did not wish to.  i did find what i saw entertaining however, and i agree the Queen song is great.  |
