Hey guys,
I'm trying desperately to come up with a topic for my History Honors thesis. I'm changing my mind every day, but anyway, I had an idea that maybe I could write about the origins and development of the idea (which is fairly common in fantasy novels nowadays) of the object or item which can only be worn or wielded by a certain person - like Arthur's sword and Cinderella's slipper. Except that I can't think of any other examples. Can anyone come up with any other precedents?
