I'll agree that they were great series', but i'm not sure you could call the first one (Girl from Tomorrow) post apocalyptic.
I could be wrong however, as it's been a long time since i've watched them!

hehe!!! For some reason I can't get enough of them. Why are we facinated by distopia?!
SOYLENT GREEN (one of my faves atm) Tank Girl Reign of Fire Planet of the Apes Blade Runner Matrix (to some extent) Would Terminator be considered post-apocalyptic? Only to some extent I suppose...more pre-apocalypse... There's also the Postman...but I really didn't like it.
Wait, most of mine probably sit in the distopia category more than post-apocalyptic...well, it's nearly the same thing.

The Postman! Gah! I knew i forgot to add one to my list!
The future scenes in Terminator should be able to give it a 'post-apocalyptic' title.
and how could i have forgotten Planet of The Apes, and Reign of Fire?!
I'm not sure if Independance day would count, as it's not really an apocalypse.
How about Judge Dredd? Thats set on a 'scorched Earth'

I dont really like independence day.If i recall I fell asleep watching it and dropped to the floor.I think my boyfriend was asleep 5 minutes after me,then all my bro's one by one. Only person left by the end of the movie was father. He likes that sort of stuff,I cant bear it. Mother came into the loungeroom later and found us all asleep. She laughed. Fact - My father can be a little boring sometimes. He likes to watch the 'olde' classics. Oh,the ways of my father.....

I remember getting one out when I was going through my 'tacky sci fi' stage (holidays, boredom, lets rent anything that looks like a laugh from sci-fi section) called Mindbend or Mindstream or MindSOMETHING. It was horrendous!! It was about this girl who lived in the post apocalyptic future. It was all powerdery and sandy outside so all humans did all day was plug themselves into computers and live virtual realities. But then the controller of the computer system went psycho, killed her mum, and she had to escape it. She went outside and found this wild-man, who lead her to a group of underground people who weren't conforming to the computers. They were psycho though, killing people for no reason. Then her dad ended up being the leader of these psychos. And her dad wanted to marry her Just explaining it in case anyone has seen it and can remember the name. It was a true post-nuclear-war movie...

Logan's Run
Worst-Movie-EVER OMG!!! I can't believe i was forced to SIT through that one!! Talk about a com64 overload! It was dreadful! Scantly clad women and buff men in 60s gear.... it's the one they take off in the simpsons all the time, when people have jewel's in their hands that start flashing and they get taken away? The episode when Homer went to the summer break stuff in florida...
And then there was that god awful one that was a blatent rip-off of children of the dust(actualy i think it was the other way around)... can't remember it's name.... it had the guy from 3rd Rock From the Sun in it, i think, very old movie... It was another i was forced to watch in class and they had this scene which was supposed to be horrifying when the nuclear bomb went off... and in a flash of red they would show people and horses alive, then the screen would flash white, and you would see black skeletons against a red firey background... my teacher thought there was something wrong with me when i started to p!ss myself laughing!
As to Independence Day, yes, tacky, but sometimes tacky is good, something to laugh yourself senseless over.... I mean hell, i watch Star Trek, for crying out loud! You never go into those movies expecting anything good. And if you do, more fool you.

The sword of shannara series is kinda post-apocalyptic. It's just set so long (hundreds of thousands, millions?) after the apocalypse that there is none of the normal apocalypse stuff

I seem to recall a film like the one you descriobed Min. I've wathced hundreds of tacky sci-fi films over the years, so its possible i've seen it.
I've just thought of another one: The Time Guardian. It's an Australian film about a timetravelling city containing the last of the human race, i think

The day of the triffids- another john wyndham- well sort of- more during an apocolypse of some form
also 28 days later- even though it's only supposed to take place in the uk- it may as well be post-apocolyptic
um. hate to mention this- only good bit was the environmental issues brought up- but The Day After Tomorrow
i was going to say the time machine as well- i loved the older version- the morlocks were great- i seem to rememmber them looking like men in white gorilla suits- very dodgy.
i love dark angel- i have the first season on dvd- i just wish they continued it after the second season- it ended on such a cliff hanger!
