Okay I don't know if this subject belongs in here but oh well. I just wanted to see who knows the most useless information. So just post the most useless facts that nobody really needs to know about but are interesting. For example: Did you know that in Mexico if you dont like beans they consider you a mutant?

Did u know that a 'jiffy' is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second??!
Richard Millhouse Nixon was the first U.S. president whose name contains all the letters from the word "criminal."
Turtles can breathe through their butts.
The phrase "Oh is that what it means? Never mind, then," is actually copyrighted by Johnny Carson and NBC. Anytime somebody says those words on television, they owe NBC and its subsidiaries $12,500. Nobody has said it however since Howard Cosell in a 1983 taping of Monday Night Football on ABC!
Sarcasm didn't exist the way we know it today until 1784!

A South Korean movie theater owner decided that the movie The Sound of Music was too long. His solution? He shortened the movie by cutting out all of the musical scenes!

I was bored so I thought I might search on the internet for some interesting ones and there is a lot of boring ones out there that no one ever needs to know. But here are some of them Nutmeg is extremely poisonous if injected intraveinously If you have three quarters, four dimes, and four pennies, you have $1.19. You also have the largest amount of money in coins without being able to make change for a dollar. (This is for all you Americans) The volume of the Earth's moon is the same as the volume of the Pacific Ocean In Mel Brooks' 'Silent Movie,' mime Marcel Marceau is the only person who has a speaking role. Only humans and horses have hymens. The word "set" has more definitions than any other word in the English language. The 'y' in signs reading "ye olde.." is properly pronounced with a 'th' sound, not 'y'. The "th" sound does not exist in Latin, so ancient Roman occupied (present day) England use the rune "thorn" to represent "th" sounds. With the advent of the printing press the character from the Roman alphabet which closest resembled thorn was the lower case "y". "Underground" is the only word in the English language that begins and ends with the letters "und." The international telphone dialing code for Antarctica is 672. If you toss a penny 10000 times, it will not be heads 5000 times, but more like 4950. The heads picture weighs more, so it ends up on the bottom. The longest place-name still in use is Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwh enuakita natahu, a New Zealand hill. And I have just proven that I have no life but I have glandular fever so I have an excuse.

The microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket.

Thai researchers have succeeded in generating electricity from natural gas made from elephant dung. --Universal Press Syndicate
If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle; if the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.

I'm glad this thread is here, i've got load of useless info to post!
The most used letter in the English language is E, and Q is the least used (useful if you were on wheel of fortune) =P
The phrase "sleep tight" originated when mattresses were set on ropes woven through the bed frame. A bed key was used to tighten sagging ropes.
It costs more to buy a car these days than it cost Christopher Columbus to equip and make three voyages to the new world.
Tweety (cartoon bird) used to be a bay bird without feathers until the censors made him have feathers because he looked naked.
The shortest war in history was between Zanzibar and England in 1896. Zanzibar surrendered after 38 minutes.
I have more...but i will return later. Enjoy reading (and wondering)

dolphin milk has 40% fat.
tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the human body.
there is a species of dolphin which is always awake and always asleep. i think it's a river dolphin but im not sure. the right side of it's brain is awake while the left side sleeps and vise versa.
dolphin's use echo location and, atleast in theory, they can see inside you're body if u are in the water with them and so can tell if u are sick and how.
there are many elements inside the sun and many being formed inside the sun, including gold.

LOL see you learn something new everyday. The fact that it's completely useless should mean something but it's fun anyway. More useless tibits: - A cow gives nearly 200,000 glasses of milk in her lifetime. - A crocodile can't stick out it's tongue. - You are more likely to be killed by a champagne cork than by a spider. - A typical bed is usually home to over 6 billion dust mites. - Butterflies taste with their feet. - On average, 13 people die every year from vending machines falling on them. - There are 336 dimples on a regulation golf ball. - If you keep a goldfish in a dark room it will eventually turn white. - The king of hearts is the only king without a moustache. - Cats have better memories than dogs.
I think that's enough for now.

*sneaks back in* In Egypt, around 1500BC, a shaved head was considered the ultimate in feminine beauty. Egyptian women removed every hair from their head with special gold tweezers and polished their scalps to a high sheen with buffing cloths. In the movie Toy Story, the carpet in Sid's hallway is the same as the carpet design in the Shining. The most popular sport as a topic for film is boxing. The plastic things on the end of laces are called aglets. To escape the grip of a crocodile's jaws push your thumbs into its eyeballs, it will let go instantly. Mozart wrote the nursery rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star at the age of five. Thomas Edison, who invented the light bulb, was afraid of the dark.

The expression 'getting someones goat' is based on the custom of keeping a goat in the stable with a race horse as a companion and settling influence. If the owner of a competing horse was not above some dirty business, they could steal their rivals goat to upset the other horse and make it run a poor race. Hence, in order to upset someone, get their goat.

But Greenland is greener than where the people who were naming it came from. Also, they probably went there in Spring. The average woman eats something like 30kg of lipstick in her life.
