Now here's one of my very favorite songs, it's a romantic little song called You and I and George. It's one of the great classics of our time. Now, you may very well ask 'Why have't I heard of this great classic?' In fact, nobody has. In its only recording, 'You and I and George' sold two copies. I bought one, and George bought one. Where were you?

record companies buy the reocrds and then consumers buy the records from the companies... things like how many records where sold are based on how many the companies buy rather than how many the consumer buys... thats where the techincally comes from

if ye did, then selling copies to yourselves or eachother wouldnt exactly be buying them.
