You're annoying me right now Grunty.
You have in fact been annoying me all weekend.
But because I have morals, standards and a respect for life I'm not going to shoot you. I think that the turkeys deserve at least the same level of respect.

What I meant was that it isn't neccessary to allow ordinary citizens to hunt animals "for their own good". I readily accept that sometimes culling is for the best, but it should be done by governments, in an organised fashion. There's no reason whatsoever why we need people to go out with their guns and shoot the deer themselves.
How do you know they're killing the sick ones?
This is absolutely ridiculous, and it's just an attempt to justify a barbaric and murderous practice.

they passed a bill that allowed the bag limit to be larger. but as for turkeys, i honestly dont care about them, those watering-caners are annoying, 2 am outside my blasted window GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE!!!! Grunty, I set a few of the words in the censor and I know exactly what you were typing to get "watering-caners" to come up. Please don't do it again. This is a G-rated board.

I agree, it just seems like a way to justify hunting. If they were really concerned with the well being of the species, they would conduct culling in humane ways.

You know what Grunty, if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.
If you are unprepared to take on people about a topic, then don't start a thread. You can't post something controversial then start bleating to have it deleted when people object. Stand up for your opinions, or don't subject us to them.
Turkeys might be loud, but they are beautiful creatures. And, frankly, if you're killing my mascot for fun, then I don't want to know you.

I JUST SAID I HAVE NEVER SHOT A VALDERDAMMED THING SO SHUT UP!! (not counting paintball) especially with a bow, my sights are off on it so i have to shoot down the arrow and that is harder than it looks.
List of favorite activities in order of most fav first. -Playing my Guitar -Paintball -Fishing -Flying/Civil Air Patrol Activities -Posting here -Reading -Walking/bikeing -Listening to music -Hunting -sleeping -canoeing
Towards cheesecake person. If you are going to come in here and b!tch at me for what i do and what i have grown up with and not back it up with anything you can get the watery-can out of here and go cry to elf!! and i do have morals, it may be hard for you to comprehend it but i do respect people, my parents, my sergents, my relatives and min, but i do not respect you. if you are offended by what i do you are too freaking sensetive. oh lets give the animals the same rights as humans. kitty cat *meow*. why should you care that i fish and hunt?

Again, the point is that you came on here and started up this thread, and then continued to provoke reactions. You shouldn't be surprised that people are becoming irritated with your statements.
With regard to the turkey thing - I'm quite sure there are billions of animals across the world who have to suffer through human noise each and every day: cars, aeroplanes, trains, etc. You should feel privilaged to be able to hear wild animals. Most people in the world live in cities where the only creatures they see are rats, pigeons and sparrows.
And guess what? There are millions of children in the world who probably haven't even hear a bird sing at all! Ever heard of the Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya? Hundreds of thousands of people living in the most horrendous conditions you can imagine. If you want an idea of what life is like for children living there, go watch The Constant Gardener.
So stop moaning, and enjoy the fact that you are able to observe wild animals; it's a privilage you're not appreciating.
