It's very good! It was made in 1978, and was supposed to be the first of two films. Unfortunatley the second part was never made! If you can find a copy, it is worth watching. I found the characters looked just like i imagined them. You can read more about it here: LOTR |

Ack!!! I HATED it, Dark One! I thought it was awful!!!
And Sam was terrible too! They made him a funny comic relief guy, which he so isn't. He's brave and stoic and wise!
Oh well... what would the world be like if we were all the same, ay?

Although from the movies, Aragorn is t3h smexiness ^_^

That is so funny! ;D It was actually his power and the magic and the fact that he sorta knew what was going on and fought for the better good regardless of the consequences. But mainly the power. I have Gandalf's beard! I wonder if it is good enough to win myself an Irish boy in the auction of Omega... Yes. But back to topic... I found Sam and Frodo scenes kinda annoying in the book and tended to skim read over them. |
