I know when you move out of home, or your parents want you to cook, its allways hard to come up with something different every time hehe!! Well, i make a mean few pasta sauces if i do say so myself!! ;D I follow a recipe the first time with a new dish, and these days i guesstimate alot of the stuff i cook till it taste right hehe its the best way!! So what do you guys like to cook, or are good at cooking? or wish you could cook?? Do tell!!

I love making lemon mereinge (sp?) pies. They're one of the few things I can make (though alot of the pastry doesn't always make it into the dish ).

I just love cooking. I go through "phases" - a while ago it was roasts, the stir fries. I think at the moment I'm on a pasta bender though - I'm loving home-made tomato sauce...
But i make a mean apple pie. The trick is to soak the raisin in bundy for 24 hrs before you make the pie, use homemade pastry and stew the apples with star anise, cinnamon quills, cloves and vanilla beans. Or, creme brulee is another favourite... I even have a little mini blow torch.
(I'm so hungry... now I have to go eat!)

I love to cook! I have the tiniest little kitchen in my flat at the moment, and it drives me insane! However, I recently inherited a mini-oven from a student who was leaving, and it's like heaven! I can bake again!
Although, my first attempt at a cake went a bit wrong - I accidentally bought plain flour instead of self-raising (note to self: learn what these are in French). Still, it was edible...

I *love* cooking!! Such a lot!! Mostly dessert things, I dont really like cooking dinner things. Oh, thing I like to cook that is a dinner thing, is lemon and garlic chicken. *drools* It is soooo very tasty. My friend and I made it for lunch the other week when I was down there, and it was so good! So... good! But I apparently I make good fudge. I think I do. Its so tasty And chocolate slice, which isnt really chocolate at all...it has about a teaspoon of cocoa powder in the icing, thats all. And the bottom is like...coconut and brown sugar and other tasty stuff. But hey, Im ranting again *wanders off*

My specialty is lasagne but I don't really get to make it any more...
I really enjoy making pizzas as well. Paul and whoever else is over all squeeze into the little kitchen and everyone helps. It's so easy and colourful - spinach, pumpkin, semi-dried toms, fetta, loads of yummy stuff.
In all honesty though, it's rare I go to a great deal of effort for a meal. My kitchen is perhaps the smallest kitchen in existance, ever, and very poorly constructed, with empty space in unreachable places and no bench space anywhere else. Most of the time it's just shove something in the oven quickly and get out.

This is my entire kitchen. The other side of the room is where the door to the bathroom is. And it just looks a mess because it's so small... honest!

Kangaruth, that looks alarmingly similar to the kitchen we had when I was living in Cardiff. I'll take a photo of my kitchen for you later...it's heathenous. And just so...everything is out of place, construction-wise! Worse still is it's window is facing west, so you get the scorching afternoon sun in there too. It looks like you have some room to move at least, Kangaruth...but I'll be back, when I take a photo..
I'm fussy when it comes to olives. I'll eat them on pizza, in small amounts...but I can't stand them. Blergh. And mushrooms. In small doses, fine - but not as a complete side to a meal. Yerch.

Ooo... Kanagruth that is so tiny! I thought my first kitch was tiny, but it was spacious compared to that... My first kitch was abot twice that size... It had no windows either. It was kind of like they built the apartment and went "hmmm... what are we missing? OH! A kitchen!" and just somehow squeezed it in... (granted my first flat had 4 rooms in it - a bedrrom, a bathroom, a place to sit and the 'kitchen').
I don't do capsicum. or eggs (except in cake or custard or anywhere they don't look or taste like eggs). Or vegemite (except when I am sick). And bananna's - I don't like them... I'm actually pretty fussy, but about ordinay things... I love weird and exotic stuff.
And my biggest, can't-say-no weakness is soft, fluffy nougat *drools*...

Well,my kitchen is big, but then again, i still live at home... i will take a foto tho:D I was weird when i was little. I liked Oysters and would shovel them down, but i couldnt stand rissoles, and i once chewed one for 2 hours and mum made me spit it out before i went to bed heheh ( ive done that a few times actually....) Now? cant stand Oysters and rissoles are ( usually) fine. Im fussy about some vegies...dont like choco( the vegie, not chocca) ,zucchini, beetroot, mushrooms, celery, or snow peas. If they arnt whole and are needed for flavour ( ie pasta sauces ), i will eat capsicum, tomato, onion, cabbage, olives in food. I like peas, potato, carrot, corn, beans tho!!!! heheh!! But i do like vegie soups ( Velish sweet potato and herb is sooo nice!!!! esp with crunchy grain bread!) Im also a fussy carnivore. I couldnt say im a vegetarian cos i do eat med, but im really not fussed on steak or beef.... not too fond of lamb but will eat it. I like beef curry and beef in stuff, but much rather chicken or pork. But really... compared to some people i know. im not fussy at all. some people i know wont have tomato in any pasta sauce, only like one type of noodles, only eat certain foods certain ways.. ( like just eating the meat out of the meat pie and not the pastry at all)..... then again i dont like tomato sauce or coke/pepsi, so im jsut weird...

I just measured my kitchen and the floor space is 1m X 1m. The cupboards are all a yucky brown colour, the oven appears to be about 200 years old and the tiles are all falling off. They're stuck up with sticky-tape thanks to the previous tennants. The rest of the appartment (2 bedrooms, bathroom and lounge room) isn't too bad though, starting to really like it. Alright for $80 week. You could stand on a lazy susan in the middle of my kitchen and wash the dishes, cook, take stuff out of the fridge and even open the window without bending over, lol.
The reason I posted however was to celebrate! After living in this apartment for a year I finally bought a fridge that works! It's being delivered later on in the week! Yay! I have a thread, but it freezes everything and the temp control doesn't work. Wasn't heaps useful when I needed to store things like milk, eggs, vegies, fruit and most importantly, BEER! I have a fridge! *dances on the spot in mini kitchen* WOOHOO!!!

i think it's one of those round things that you put on a table and you put dishes on it and you can turn it around to get the dish you want in front of you, like in some chinese restaurants. That's what my grandma calls them anyway. So you could stand on one in my kitchen and just spin around in circles and get everything done without taking a step

id love to be able to cook but i cant. in our family, the men do all the cooking anyway so i suppose it doesnt really matter.
i CAN do most breakfast cerials and i like making cakes but they have to come in a box. just add water works well with me.
can anyone make sushi?
as for fussy, i dont like many fruits. i like apple but only raw, i cant stand apple crumble. i like grapes but they have to be really fresh and make a burstig sound when you first bite into them otherwise theyre gross. i eat watermelon too but i dont like seeds in them, seedless are fine. i also dislike my foods mixed together on the plate. i dont care if theyre touching but for example, jelly and icecream -they DO NOT go together.

I can't stand fruits that aren't fresh either.... I hate raisins, dates, sultanas and any other kind of dried fruit. And I have a serious problem with oranges, in any form.... I think I may have a phobia. As for cooking, I burn everything....
