Seeing as we have a AFL thread, i thought i would start a NRL thread!!!! My entire family are mad Roosters fans, dating back to my father when he was a kid!

Being from Adelaide I know absolutely nothing about the NRL but I chose the Cronulla Sharks because one of their players had a son with the same rare disability as my sister and they supported my sisters disabilities organisation Unfortunately though< i think they have similar colours to Port Adelaide

*coughs* Didn't Brisbane win a whole heap of premiereships though...in the 90's, when they were interesting?

*sighs* I used to be an avid Broncos supporter, when I was little. Then Superleague came around, and made it boring and only about money. And the players keep changing. Melbourne's entire team was bought from other states.
I know everyone retires and whatnot but I miss the days of Sailor and Carne on the wings, half the team being Walters, Alfie magic, etc. And I miss the distinct rivalry that used to go on between Brisbane Broncos and Balmain Tigers. As every true Broncos supporter should...god I hated that Benny Elias.

I'll still watch the state of origin, but that's it.

I go for the Eels, but at the moment they're not looking to great, so I decided to go with the Cowboys as they're going pretty good at the moment.

Min! I know the times you are talking about.... Super League almost ruined it for me, as well as the cutting it down to 14 teams, the roosters barely survived.. ... i live in Balmain Tiger territory, my brother played for under 7's hehehe so i have a bit of a soft spot for them... my arch enemies are the Dragons!! Anzac day match!!! and of course, i have to be bitter about the Bulldogs!

Oh i only named each teams most recent grand final appearence cos there wasnt enough space to name every one they were in.

I have no idea about aussie rugby but I'm all for the Widnes Vikings to get promoted back to superleague end of the season.
Can you believe they put a french team in the english superleague? *shakes head in disgust*

OMG really, shinigami. no offence to any Kiwi members.. i feel the same way about the NZ warriors... they should not be a part of OUR comp!!! BTW, I am going to convert to Gold Coast when we get our own tram next year but currently i am a broncos supporter (loosely, anyway)

yeah catwhisperer, they're the reason we got relegated for the first time in our history. Two teams went down instead of one. Ah well we've got a better coach now and a squad thats looking v promising. back up next year i say!
