I actually think it's good that Mark Williams was dropped from the Hawks side this weekend. He's been out of form and if he managed to boot a few goals for Box Hill it will improve his confidence.

It will be interesting to see where Aker ends up. I don't think many clubs will be willing to risk his seemingly unpredictable behaviour.

They're a slack bunch! This thread has slowed down a lot lately, so I'm going to hopefully ignite some debate by saying that AFL players should stop complaining about their salaries. I would be more than happy to be paid $100,000 per year to do their job for them! |

Clearly, that wasn't controversial enough. So, Adelaide won *sigh*. No doubt Squirt is very happy now. The two positives I take out of the match are: 1) The Hawks had Adelaide pinned down until midway through the 3rd quarter. And that at AAMI Stadium! In difficult conditions! 2) 37 points may be the largest margin of the round so far, but it's the closest anyone's come to beating Adelaide since round 11. We did better against Adelaide than Geelong, Sydney, Port and the Bulldogs. Surely that must count for something! |

I heard the players' salaries will increase next year and the afl may have its first $1 mil a year player the guys talking about it suggested it'd be Chris Judd

La di da da daaaaaaaaaaaa Just thought I'd pop on in to see how all you lovely people were going! I went to a fantastic footy game yesterday! AF, it appears you may have watched it It was a tough game, it was freezing cold and pretty windy, there was a bit of tension out on the field too. Number 16, he gets pretty fired up, or was it 15? I forget. He had our Dogga pretty fired up anyway It's a pity (for your sake) Hawthorn couldn't hold on for longer than two and a half quarters. Craigy put Roo into the midfield and Goody into the forward line and the Hawks never really recovered. Even when they changed back after three quarter time. And Arien, you're tips were on time Just. |
