I love feel-good movies (which for some reason seem to be called chick fliks!)
My favourite ones i can think of at the moment are:
Working Girl Pretty Woman Ever After 10 Things I Hate About You Bridget Jones
There's probably loads more, but i can't think of them without going through my movie collection.
What are yours?

Ooh, um, I always get confused as to what's classified as a chick flick and what isnt, but here goes * Ghost * Miss Congeniality * Legally Blonde (only the first one) * Love Actually Likewise, I know there's more, but I cant think of them at the moment!

YAY!!!
Ten Things I Hate About You Bridget Jones' Diary (Both movies) When Harry Met Sally Love Actually Four Weddings and a Funeral (even though Andie McDowell gives me the sh!ts!)
THose are all the ones I think would DEFINETELY be classified as Chick Flicks, but I could go on all day with others.
Oh! And I'm a Jane Austen fanatic!!!
Buneater: You just want to get your grubby hands on Mr. Knightley and his patronising attitude.
Kayt: HELL YES!
All: Oh no! Is no fictional character safe?
Flit: Rushton is...

As long as Mr. Darcy is all mine, i don't care
Chcik Flicks.... does The Princess Bride count in this one? cuz i love that movie....
Bridget Jones--both Love Actualy Sleepless in Seattle Notting Hill Four Weddings and a Funeral My Big Fat Greek Wedding (not a huge fan, but i don't mind it) (I'm currently thinking through my video/DVD collection, maybe i should go check) Sound of Music (leave me alone! I'll yodel if i want to!!) Pride and Prejudice (can't believe i left it so long, and it's a TV series, not a movie, but who cares!!) Moulin Rouge Romeo and Juliet Strictly Ballroom (do they all count, i think they do....)
Oh lord, i can't remember the rest of them..... as you can see, i'm a sucker for smultz, it's a problem i have.... but i can safely say, most of these DVD's beong to my mother.... so i cannot admit ownership...

I really want to see the Princess Bride, as I read the book and it was great And don't you think Moulin Rouge is a bit dark to be classified as a chik flik?

I couldn't pick my fav, but I really like Moulin Rouge and Love Actually... and Pride and Prejudice and Brijet Jones of course. (Mr Darcy.... *sigh*) I think Moulin Rouge would count as a chick flick because it is a love story and about love conquering all etc. And it has Ewan McGreggor singing. I mean, doesn't that just make you go "awwwww.... *sigh*". How cool was Love Actually! Colin Firth and Alan Rickman in the same movie! *sigh* Heaven.

Me either, but I love the movie!
Steel Magnolias is another one, so sad...
I love Love Actually, Moulin Rouge, Strictly Ballroom, 10 Things, Bridget Jones, Miss Congeniality, Legally Blonde (haven't see the second)...
We have a huge chick flick section. They're all mum's, though. Just making sure everyone knows that, cause some of them it's embarassing to admit we own...

If you enjoy a film, why should you be embaressed to admit ownership?

I'm bored. i'm going to write up all the movies we have in the chick flick section of our DVD thingo. This would be easier if I was on the comuter in the same room instead of on one up the other end of the house, but I shan't let this bit of common sense get in the way of a good anti-boredom technique!
Ok, here goes (and these are just the DVDs, I'm not even going to attmept the videos...):
Strictly Ballroom Moulin Rouge Steel Magnolias Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe Bridget Jones' Diary Legally Blonde Miss Congeniality My Best Friend's Wedding While You Were Sleeping Sweet Home Alabama French Kiss The Bridges of Madison County Seabiscuit Ever After Love Actually My Big Fat Greek Wedding Groundhog Day When Harry Met Sally The Princess Bride Emma

Groundhog Day was a stupid movie i didn't much like Shakespeare In Love. Didn't it win an award or something? I was very disappointed

i didn't much like Shakespeare In Love. Didn't it win an award or something? I was very disappointed I know Gwyneth Paltrow won an Oscar for her "performance" when it should really have gone to Cate Blanchett for her Elizabeth. She was brilliant in that.

Cant go wrong with Baz Lurhman's Red Curtain Trilogy (Strictly Ballroom's my fave, I love those huge earrings and that goofy clown-like make up that looks as if it's been applied with a paint gun;D). Ten Things I Hate About You Save the Last Dance Labyrinth --> I REALLY love this movie!
