This topic is about ettiquette in your country. I've learned about some actions that are impolite in other countries and found them interesting, so I thought maybe others would as well!
eg; That american gesture: the index finger and thumb curled to form the shape of an "o" is obscene in Brazil

The good old 2 finger salute is not really understood by most Americans (that I encountered anyway) They think it's the old 'V' for victory sign.
As an interesting fact... ('cos I'm just full of them)
The origins of the sign come from the old wars between the French and the English. After a hail of arrows was let off, the English would get up and shove the two fingers up to say 'Yaaah we've still got our bow fingers' Meaning they could still let off an arrow.

In some 3rd world country it is rude not to burp after a meal, and they may kill you if you don't
