This is to find out what everyone thinks of changing the 'Last Post Wins' game. Do we grab the winningness and hide on another thread, or do we keep it as it is?

actually im in two minds about this
as much as id love to take it to other threads, i suspect the people on other threads as well as the mods might get a bit upset at the bunch of loons running around the more serious threads on the boards, plus it will prolly scare off all the newbies.
on the other hand it would be lots of fun and make it slightly more challenging but it would have to come back to the winningness thread each second go to control it, but then again you'd never know if u had the right winningness or not because you might go to a thread and think you've found it but someone else had already taken it.

*puts mod hat on* darkone this could get messy. and im goin to second what lix says - its to hard to control and most ppl wont enjoy their threads being interupted. so keep it to the one thread and find a different method to play it: wether is guess wwho has it, a rpg dialogue or wat ever...

but if ur not happy with that: think of a way were u can control it. or a plan on how ud run it and i may concider it...but it would have to only be allowed to be in teh dinning hall and u cant bring up and really old htreads that mite confuse people (such as moon fair ones or information ones like that)...

sorry i no that sounds really narky and all but i dont think we need problems from it. sorry dark one!

lol so should i hehehe....anyway yea if u can think of a way (anyone) to monitor it and make it flow (ie so that one person isnt running round with the winningness in on thread the same time someone else is in another) i wouldnt mind giving it ago if ppl are keen. cos it sounds interesting!

hmmm like if someone has it. the next person has to find then. take it from them in that same thread (quoting the post saying its there). then moving it to another thread until waiting for someone to find it. and do the same thing....but i dont no... keen to hear if u guys can come up wit anything

you could make it that if they still the winning ness they have to join in with wat that thread is about as well as hiding that winningness...then the next person to find it would also have to post in that thread joining the conversation and then hide it in another thread also joing into the converstaion there. That would mean that therefore they are posting twice...once to remove it once to hide it...

thats a bit long winded...hope it makes sense...

i like it the way it is,but it would be cool if the person who wins gets something,like a sid which says;'I won the golg!'
or something like that.

maybe you just haveto say 'winningness' so that there is no confusion, you haveto have claim on it, like what i said on the last post thread you haveto post your claim on it on the last post thread.

for example: Dark One posts the word 'winningness' cleverly disguised in a convo about dr who in the library (it can't be a modified old post coz that would be impossible to find)

Lix: discovers it and straight away goes to the last post thread and posts location od dark one's hidden winningness with appropriate amount of gloating (that is unless she goes there to find someone else has posted the location already and in that case goes looking for the winningness posted by say NIG)

what do you reckon? we'd haveto keep it to threads like the library, favourite quotes, dinning hall, sus rid (possibly) and members message board

yea ok! i think that would work. so someone has it. u post it in another thread then the first person who finds it replies in that thread and back on the 'found winningness' thread before psoting it somewhere else! ...ok could work! i like it!

BUT im goin to say keep it to the dinning hall. and if arien and frankie are cool with it goin in SR then thats ok there too...

i think that's best- if we keep it to the dinning hall first to see if it works, as long as the person who does do it says on the last post thread that they are taking it to another thread- otherwise it could get extremely confusing.
