Actually, Canberra probably does get colder than Melbourne, it might not look it on the weather report, but we get a wind chill factor here that could freeze your socks off.... Hehe - it often looks colder on our weather report, good Flit. And it was freezing when I went there with my TAFE class to visit the National Library. But on the other hand, we were all amazed at the gardens in the middle of the roads. And the fact that the roads are about two hundred metres wide. It's such a cute town.

You should visit Tasmania. (I know I want to one day.) A few years ago, a tourist went bushwalking there at Christmas - ie, Summer - and died in the snow.
And Melbourne is known to get a little chilly in Winter. ;D

*pouts*
Southside is better and you know it! None of that grubby old Northside for me! I'll take shiny, new Southside!!!
Never mind Sydney vs Melbourne. You guys call your little tiff rivalry. Australia's TRUE rivalry is between North Canberra and South Canberra!
*flicks tomato sauce all over Flit and her yucky Northside*

WHAT? WHAT?
NORTHSIDE! PRETTIER THAN SOUTHSIDE? ARE YOU INSANE!!!
So you've got Gungahlin? It's cancelled out by the oldness of the rest of Belco.
Tuggers is twenty years old. Max.
Although I guess both sides are pretty asbestossy, really!
Perhaps we should agree to disagree and just gang up on Westies, instead?

Why not post pictures of both sides and then let the rest of us decide which is prettier?

I think, to get a truly impartial opinion, we'll all have to go to Canberra and visit both areas. And then we can vote.

How about we agree on this... Every other capital around Australia...except maybe Hobart, is better than Canberra with its confusing circles. Especially Melbourne.
