Has anyone(other than me) painted their nails far too many times and no matter how long you try to pick at it or put nail polish remover on it,it just wont come off?? I always pain my nails green or black, but I mixed the colours together and now they wont come off!!! *waaaa!!* Does anyone know of a special remedy or nail polish remover thst actually removes four coats of nail polish? If so,your my hero.Tell me and I'll give you a cookie!! ;D

I never paint my nails, so can't help you there. Perhaps you should try removing the nail polish before painting again Cat

well, i'm not sure how you can get it off... Usually if you just leave them for a while without painting them it'll fade off a bit..
but i do know how you can stop it from happening again! If you paint your nails with a clear nailpolish before you paint them with black/green/other colours, then the colouring won't stain your nails...

you could try methelayted (sp?) sprits, it could work, not promising anything though.
otherwise make sure the remover youre using has acetone (though dont if youre wearing fake nails) cos they tend to work better

i was gonna agree with jess acetone will deffinately work but if u use it make sure u put lots of lotion on as it will seriuosly dry ur hands and nails up. other wise just keep at it wit the nail polish...do it in turns...and it should come off (ie. rub then wat and hr and try again)

If a nail polish remover doesn't have acetone in it, what else does the removing bit? I mean, can you buy nail polish remover that doesn't have acetone?

Yes, you can, but it is weak as and takes AGES to get it off....
amazingly enough, craft glue works wonders in getting nail polish off. I have a habit of painting my nails and then being asked to help my mum out with her brownie group to do a craft.
But Kaylan, the best advice is to make sure you always remove the old colour. Nails are finiky things, if you put too many layers on, you risk permanently colouring your nails yellow, it's something to do with oxygen... i know there is a reason, i just can't remember it.
Anyway, you really shouldn't use more than two coats.
Nail polish remover, warm water, and scrub hard. Hurt like hell, but that's your best chance.

Biting nails is gross!! Anyway, off topic. Kaylan, wouldn't it be a bit hard being a goth in Brisbane considering the weather? Black clothes + hot/humid weather

I used to be... well, attempted to be, but when you don't buy your own clothes being goth ain't easy....that and i was never much of a fan for makeup... so i resolved to have as much black clothing as i could. Black, dark purple and blue cuz i can't be without colour!
So, like i am a failed geek, i was a failed goth. Oh well... it was fun...
But i think nearly everyone goes through a goth stage... well, most people i know anyway
