I love traditional (properly spelt) names for kids, and celtic ones too, but not weird, not for a child, they'll have to live with it! that, and people never pronounce them right!
Boys names: Callum, David, James, Jasper, Luke, Jonathan, Peter, George, Alexander, Bryn.
Girls names: Colleen, Angela, Erin (okay, bias on that one) Tabetha, Leigh, Katherine.....
I have more names that i hate then i like... and i'm sure i have more that i like.... *shrugs*
when people give their kids weird names or spell them wrong, i'm really sorry, but it makes the parents seem pretty stupid. My mother worked as a midwife for a lot of years, and she kept telling me when someone spelt the name for their kid the wrong way. And it used to drive her insane. Particularily Caitlen. You just don't spell it with a "K" she used to grumble to me. She felt like whacking people of the head with a baby name book when she found some of them. Felt like saying "Don't do this to your kid! They're the ones who will have to live with it all their lives! How do you think they will feel when they have to make a loan application?? Imagine them signing that!!"

I'm a naturally obsessive good speller. And I don't mind interchanging C and Ks at all for names.
And Kaitlyn is more usually spelt with a K anyway. I don't mind trying out new spellings of names. Doesn't bother me at all.

cause you dont like the spelling? thats why my parents made mine a weard(traditional scottish) spelling
my fave names are: girls Ellia, Chelsea, Louisa, Felicity
boys: andrew, merlin, rhys(pron. reece), joel/joe
then there's the weird ones like Lukah, Lowik, Keanu which are just cool, but you wouldnt name your kid

If or when I have a kid:
If it's a boy I would like to call him Nicholas
If it's a girl I would like to call her Dominique

I always like Dominic for a boys name, but i think Wanderers version is cooler I like strange names, its the really boring names i cant deal with No offence, and call me...modern, but im not really fond of names like Peter or John Lets see, my fav names... Well, my fav girls names are probably Aaliyah, Aeryn, Airlia, (love my double vowels ) Farah, and Tahirah, and my fav boys names are Adriel, Akeem, Hakim, Kaleb and Nazih. One thing that really gets me is that on those annoying talk shows like Maury Povich and Jerry Springers (The kind where they parade their freaks) everyone seems to be called Aiesha I mean, come on! Its been done! Plus, it means 'woman' in Arabic I dont think i would want to be called 'woman'....
