I've just discovered that WOOT is a Middle English (medieval) word. It means know or knew. ;D

I've got a copy of "The Canterbury Tales" by the real Geoffrey Chaucer, and it has a dictionary of the words used in it at the back.
I was looking for a Middle English word for "weaver" and I found "woot" as well.
"swevene webbe" means DREAM WEAVER !!! ;D
