As far as I know, our school has no alternative sports. I did pilates for this programme thing and didn't like it one bit. That's the extent of it. And why do they make us do swimming? Blrgh!

We did Self Defence earlier this year, that was awesome. But trampolining was ruined by my teacher. My psych teacher teaches two of the four year 10 classes and then one time she also took the other one cause they're teacher was away and now EVERYONE in those three classes can do a front drop (standing up jump to be lying on yuor stomach) but heaps of people in my class (including me) can't.
I don't mine my PE teacher as a person so much, and sometimes he can be funny, but he just sucks as a teacher! ARRGGHHH!

Self defense and trampolining? *jealous* lol
I just realised, I don't hate the biology side of science, but I hate the rest.

I used to hate the way that religious studies was forced upon us at school I like to learn about religion. I own three bibles, so I find it interesting. I also like Welfare, because we don't get assessed!! But the only downside in welfare is that nobody likes me in my class and they allways whisper about me. It so annoying. They think I don't know, but I do. I hate that!! And in english this really snobby girl teased me right in front of the class when I was reading my poem. I threw the duster at her, but I didn.t get in trouble because I'm the smartest person in English and my teacher likes me.

Self defense and trampolining? *jealous* lol I just realised, I don't hate the biology side of science, but I hate the rest. Quite a few people I knew at school were like that. Maybe it's because it's a bit more common sensey and doesn't ahve as many evil complex formulas and numbers? Plus you usually get to do cool experiements with bugs and stuff ;D

In my science class we don't get to do very much experiments. But when we do me and Boyd make the most of it.

I liked Studies in religion, but we got to do things like Buddhism and Marxism... Twas fun.
I like science, just not the discipline. (I used to confuse science teachers by demanding their own explination for the theory of relativity. and you know what is surprising about 8 out of ten high school science teachers needed to refer to a book first. Bah)
At uni I hate sociology. Bah! Trying to tell me that statistics are irrefutable empirical evidence. Grrrr)
But I love History. Ancient History especially. That's why I'm studying Ancient Civs at Uni.
And English/Literature is okay. It can be frustrating when you are studying books/authors that you don't like, but occassionally you get to study a book that blows your mind! Like in yr ten english we got to study Brave New World. It was a little bit of a challenge, and an excelent book, I felt that was the level english should be taught at. Education is becoming slack.
Enough ranting from Ashta, ciao

I love history too. I read a lot about Troy, and I surprised myself when the movie came out and I knew everything that was going to happem because I'd read about it!

..you guys actually study OTHER religions? jeez, wish we did that..all we do in RE is study the bible and get told about how if we don't become christians we're going to hell and how evolution is crap. And then what do we do? go to science and learn about evolution I like maths, but my teacher sucks so yeah...
I love ancient history!!

I think Lit is really good - its just a lot of work. Don't do it unless you really like analysing books!!!
I would like to study different religions and perspectives and views as such, I just don't want to do the 'RE' that is mostly taught which is (in my opinion) sort of about worshipping 'God' from the bible. Philosophy is a really good subject, tis very interesting.
Innle - how long have you been playing horn for?

We're studying Judaism right now in RE. It's not too bad when you're doing something interesting and with a good teacher, but most of the time it sucks. And besides which, most RE teachers suck.
