locked thread

U know in threads that they get locked,well sometimes I go to reply to something - but then I find out the threads been locked so I cant respond.
Is there some way to show if the thread has been locked before you enter the thread?

yeah, there are little padlocks beside the title of the threads that have already been locked.

The quick reply box should go and so should the reply button if the thread is locked as well.
