Well, we usually have some sort of poll about Big Brother when it's on, so I thought I'd start the ball rolling. I usually watch BB because it can sometimes be a fascinating insight into how humans behave, but this year, it's just made me want to throw things at the screen and call down lightning bolts upon certain people called Dean.

What does everyone else think? Are you enjoying it? Do you care? Or is the Big Brother phenomenon over?

NB. Housemates are listed in alphabetical order, not by my preference for them.

I'd rather watch paint dry.
I think that Big brother is just some show that promotes bad and evil things.
It has horrid things like sex, and all the things related to it shown on tv.
I think this season has just gone too far.

I'm watching it this year, but i'm not as in to it as i usually am. Normally by now i have a fav and i dog their every move hoping they're going to win, but this year, they've simply choosen the wrong people for the house. The chose singles in hopes of getting lots of sex in the house, (which has been successful) but its backfired in that all the people they've chosen, yeah, they might have sex, butt hey are almost totally unrelatable. They are immature, they spend most of their time picking/bullying each other. I mean, some of the things they have done! Dean, i don't mind too much, but Geneva! GAH! She's HORRIBLE!! And the thing is she wonders about acting like she knows everything, and that everyone else is lower than her, then she does the whole "Oh, everyone hates me" routine, and expects pity from everyone! GAH
They are all stupid idiots, except for Tim, and you can tell why he's doing weights all the time, simply because he needs to get away from the stupidity of it all. (and because they constantly picked on him, before Vesna came in).
I watch these people and i see a side of humanity i hope doesn't exist, but deep down i know it does, and they've all given me proof. There really is no person/character in there you can relate to, or find any redeeming features of, except maybe Tim, Kate and Greg/Logan, and even then, they can be frustrating.
I'm going to have a hard time sticking up for my generation from now on, with those people as examples.

I totally agree with you.
I watched one episode and I had to turn the channel. All there was was sex, people moping around and all crap like that.
They are not setting good examples to anyone. All they do is have sex, prance around like very *friendly* persons (of whom I am reffering to Geneva) and on each episode they find a different person to bag on.
I think it's a horrible show and can't possibly think of one good example that any member has set.
I really think that the show is low and should not feature such 'graphics' that they do. Children watch it!
How will they learn what is right and what is wrong by watching people dance around in their underwear doing stripteases?!
I am appaled and outraged that people actually enjoy watching people having sex and watching everything else that they do!
I have only watched four episodes, and in those episodes I had to change the channel freqquently. I just don't enjoy the things that are being promoted and done on the show.
I fu**ing hate it and I hope that they won't make another season of it.

i couldnt sleep one night so i switched on the tv and big brother uplate was on, suddenly, mi lil sister popped out of nowhere and started asking me if i was watching a pornographic moovie (><).....

Last year was my first year of BB, but I think it was far better. The cast was more interesting.

But anyway, I'm getting to like the people, with Geneva gone, it's better. Take out Dean, and it's better. I honestly don't know who will win, I think one of Christie, Kate, Hotdogs, Tim, Logan or even Vesna. It would've been nice for Rachael to stay too

I watched it a bit when I should have been studying for exams. Dean is a nasty person and I wished he had gone with Constance and Nelson when they found out he had a gf. Tim is such a dude, I love his sense of humour

One thing I have to comment is that the whole show is not totally centred around sex. Yes, if all you watch is the Uncut show, that's different, but that's just an hour a week.

I've not yet actually watched that, and just because it's there, it doesn't mean fans all have to watch it. Kaylan, I am fairly sure you must have watched the uncut show, because they don't show people having sex on the daily shows or anything like that. The worst they go is kissing, and if that makes people feel sick, it's kinda...prudish.

Plus, if you barely watch it, how do you know of Geneva's personality? Also, if sex is evil and not funny, why is joking about herpes, as you do, hilarious?

Really, the show is about relationships, no, not necesarily (sp?) girlfriend-boyfriend ones, just like. intrapersonal ones, which are kinda interesting to watch.
But I prefer Survivor, it gives a wider range of people.

Well said, good Timm. My problem is just the people thisyear, not the concept. They can sleep with each other as much as they like, but do they have to be so mean?? What Hotdogs and Geneva did to poor Vesna was horrible!!! Then they acted like she was the one with the problem.
GAaaaaaahhhhh. I can't stand meanness in any form, and their aint anyone nice this year. Even Tim, so-called Mr. Nice-Guy, has been sitting in on all these horrible conversations, and hasn't done a thing to help!.
*grumbles* If only exams were over, I could get a life away from TV. Then I wouldn't continually feel like throwing my textbook at Big Brother. Stupid uni.

Tim is playing the game. Everyone else was b*tching about Kate, so he did. But he doesn't mean and I think he has a lot of respect for Kate. Some of his comments would have been said in heat-of-the-moment as well.

Personally, my favourite is Kate and then Tim. They're both playing the game, which is good, but they also have intelligence and they're nice people.

The boys are being absolute idiots. Especially Glenn, Dean and Hotdogs. The way they're bullying other people and ganging up on the girls etc, ARRGGHHH! Especially Shearer, sometimes he is such a chauvanistic pig... Arrgghhhh....

Timm, the reason I joke about herpies is because my father once told my cousin that her pimples were actually herpies. My cousin then wen't to the doctors and the doctor laughed in her face, so ever since that day I have always thought of herpies to be slightly hilarious.

Also, when I said that 'sex is evil and not funny', I didn't mean to act like a nun or anything else like that, I just ment that it shouldn't be on tv (in my opinion).

And the reason I know of Geneva's personality is because my friends talk about Big Brother every day at school, so I have come to know a bit about all of the housmates' personalities.

I would like to tell you all that confliction is not a word, Rachel uses it because she is stupid. It's not a word. Why am i hearing it in every day use? Because people heard Rachel use it, and decided it was good enough for them.

I know, over reacting, i just heard people using it on the bus today, really wanted to deck them. It's not a bloody word, only people who are idiots and have no comprehension of the english language use it. Like Rachel. GAH! there's sensible made up words, and then there are those that only make you look the fool. And the fact she kept using it, over and over again, i nearly cried when she was on uplate and she finally said "confrontation".
God, the things Big Brother is doing to the poor human vocab....

Omg! I love that show!! But for the all time best reality show is the amazing race for it's train wreck showcasing of americans abroad ;D

BB is annoying this year 'cos there's not really anyone to like or identify with. And I agree that there is so much bullying/aggression as well as chauvanistic behaviour. grrr

I love the Amazing Race, too. It's close behind Survivor, I only discovered it late last year! I love it, though.

Amazing race was great when watched it. It too, is a program of exagerated reactions, but at least its amusing. hehehe

Survivor ive never particularly liked, because the people arent really as macho as the show puts out. Id really like to see them do a proper bushwalk carrying all their stuff and walking from dawn to dusk. they wouldnt last at all. Though i havent seen it in about 2 yrs. Maybe its got better...or maybe worse.

whats really hilarious is worlds apart. hehehe. has anyone ever seen that?

I like Survivor. I've never really watched Amazing Race, but it didn't seem too bad.
