MAFIA I : OBERNEWTYN is coming to here. (Can someone please sticky this for me?)

There's a thread about it (called Mafia Thought) in the Members Message Board.
The game probably won't start till after Moonfair, or depending on how long it takes me to prepare possibly a bit before then, but it will only go as fast as it takes you all to respond so until the moonfair is over it probably won't go too fast.
I need to know who's playing so I can create characters for everyone. So PLEASE sign up!
The game will be played here when it is day. In the night no one can talk, but you can PM if it says you can in your description. in the day those who are playing will be able to post here, but if you're not playing or you're already dead you'll just have to lurk, no posting.
The basic idea is:
There are some people (mafia) who are trying to kill everyone else (the towspeople). In the night time the mafia decide on someone to kill and some other people sometimes have night abilities, but you'll find out if you have them when I send you your characters. In the day time everyone says they're townspeople and everyone tries to figure out who is mafia. In the day time people also vote for who they think is mafia and a majority vote gets that person lynched, and then it's night again.
It's LOTS of fun!

Yeah. It doesn't have to go fast. I mean, it gets a bit annoying when night time goes forever cause people aren't handing in their night choices, but day time usually goes for ages, especially the first day... Which is always hilarious for everyone except those who are playing who kinda stand around going "So..."

But, on the plus side, TIMM GO RECRUIT PEOPLE!
Or not... Depends on how many things I can come up with, but it goes for longer and is, I assume, more interesting with more people...

That's cool Ethereal. It doesn't take a lot of spare time, so long as everyone else was prepared to wait for you in periods when you couldn't be on. But it's cool. I understand where you're coming from I'm thinking of running another in the Summer Hols cause I already have some ideas about it, mostly they're ones I can't use in this game... I found my creativity!! (Although not an incredibly large amount, so far everyone character profile starts with 'How's it going?' and that's probably not going to change... ) Cat |
