without the books, i'd never have found this site, and never have met any of you guys ^.^ i think being here has made ma a lot more open and accepting of other peoples' views and...i don't know. more friendly? i feel it's easier to talk to people in real life now because i'm more used to talking to new people who come on here and stuff

the OC has made me more imaginative & has given me an urge to write again!

Min, you're so right - this place has done so much for so many of us. Here are the things it has done for me:

* I gravitated towards a bunch of 'weirdos' and helped to form SR, which has resulted in several, eduring online friendships
* I learnt HTML and the basics of web design, the results of which got me my job (in an indirect sort of way)
* The bunch of weirdos instigated extended sessions of play-writing, which re-ignited my urge to write again. This is the biggest and best thing Ober.net has done for me.
* Best of all, the new messageboards have given me something to do when I'm supposed to be working.

There's so much fun to be had!
