Elspethseeker, what is the order of things over there? I've always wondered - is it little school then high school then college? I'm thinking college is like our uni? And is it compulsory to go to college? Just to be boring, but you know, nosey-ness just takes over!

well the only thing i can realy tell u lucy is that colledge = uni, its jsut when u board on campus....and no i dont think its compuslery - tis sooo hard to get into (from wat i understand) but ill shut up...elfseeker?! enlighten us...

The only thing I know about US college is that you have to pay to go - no exceptions - no HECS. So it doesn't seem very fair, in that everyone isn't entitled to an education - because some families just couldn't do it. Is that right though?

Yeah, you have to pay to go to uni here. Well, you either pay or get a huuuuge loan that you're paying back for the rest of your life. It's a big pile of pants either way. Yaay for me who managed to get a job with nice people who will pay for it instead of me! ;D *is smug*

well goin interstate is like paying internation studnet fees for us. their local unis cos equivalent to our hecs payments....so it like being an international student....tho they do give out lots more scholerships then they do here...
