Yeah, i think it can be really hard on those who are about, who really try to care. Esp. family, you can tear them to pieces with some things, and they can make things worse by saying remarks. My mother telling me i shouldn't write so much was what sparked 6 hours of staring at a wall.... I was starting to look like my dementia dog...

Yeah, it's funny. That same thing happened to me. I used to bury myself in pens and paper, and my parents thought it was unhealthy. I thought it was the healthiest thing for me.

How can writing be unhealthy? I think your Mum is just trying out the doctor thing. Everytime My dad goes to the doctor they ask him what he likes to eat and drink then tell him he can't have it. Dad tells them that if he can't have a glass or two of wine at night he might aswell be dead anyway. Thats when the doctor gives up.
I don't know if it would be a good idea for you to say that to your Mum though.
I spent 1o days in a psych ward once. It was so horrible. I'm glad I only remember half of it.

Kayt darling, I think we all agree here that there is nothing better for a problem then writing! Heck, my poem that came first in the school writing comp was a complete confession of my guilt (dramatised of course). I think that writting it out in such a manner made me come to terms with what it was exactly that I felt.
Anyway, he shouldn't be patronising you for not going out. I used to go out alot and party and what not. But now that I have started Uni, all I can think about is studying. And when I'm not studying I'd rather watch anime, tv, or write. Most of my friends can't understand that concept. Especially my house mate, he really doesn't get my logic! I think I annoy both my house mates because I have a tendacy to lock myself in my room and study. They both find it to be anti-social, but it's the most important thing in my life. Some people just need to know that there's more to life than getting p!ssed.
Anyway, sweetie, I understand where you are coming from. I think just about everyone here does. GRUGS!
And oooh... That play sounds spefferific! I congratulate you on your dedication to writing. (If Uni wasn't so much to handle I'd be writing more too!)
Much love girly! And keep up the good work. You are totally appreciated around here!
