our rowing was very shocking! :S and we're usually good at it!dam it! eeek! :S...oh well....the kayaking (or wat ever) was shocking as well!!!! *sigh* meh....u no ur slow natally! tho i think we're just obsessive!  (ok i am:P)

Don't worry Lucy... I'm in Sydney and I STILL miss out on a zillion posts in between checking out the site!
Did anyone hear about that loony in the diving? This spectator-dude from Canada wandered over to the diving platform in the middle of the competition, wearing a tutu and clown shoes, then jumped in!
The officials stood around for a minute wondering what to do until finally one of them jumped in - fully clothed - and dragged the idiot out.

lol!! hehehe, did anyone see the synchronized diving last nite? they all stuffed up!! it was so funny!! i dont like our anthem...i rekon it should be waltzing matilda...hehe...or 'i am australian'...and we should get a better flag as well. and we should be a republic, too. how can u not like our anthem? have u listening to the words? u know it used to be god save our gracious queen til someone made up the beautiful one we have |

I don't really get the hype about the Olympics...
I think my problem is that I don't like watching any sports. Or playing them. Most Melbournites love the footy, but I don't. My sister likes tennis, but I don't. And my parents like cricket but I don't.
Plus, the Olympics put all Ch. 7 shows on hold! Noooooo!

Ugh, our anthem sucks. I sometimes think our athletes aim tog et silver instead of gold just so they don't have to stand and listen to it; it's so depressing! (Also a good excuse for our meagre one gold)

its quater to 4 in the morning and its still another half hour before jana's race
why am i still awake? prolly because the olympics are the original reality tv and im sadly getting hooked. dammit and i havent watched the olympics since barcelona.

god ill be so disppointed if she doesnt get thru, ive stayed up all ntie after a 10 hour shift to watch this. pity u cant vote for ur favourite athelete. hehehe
thabnk god i dont have credit tonoite or id spend it vioting on idol. i dunno who was good tonite tho. what do you guys think? ricki-lee will prolly go thru but i miss some of the others who didnt get trhu but i kno theyre wild carderes. eg ben ngaiire and adrian. u guys rock! please please get into the top 12 i wanna see u all sing again!
yay that killed 5 minutes worth of typing. hmm wonde what else i can do to amuse mydself and saty awake. no mroe coffee for me! the caffeince cant be good for me. i cant believe im still awake! i got no sleep on friday ntie beause i had to work at 6am and my borther had to work at 4am so he got up at 3.20 and made heaps of noise and rhen it took me a while to get back to sleep and then i have to get upo at 5.20. its so awful getting up that early but chris usually stays over so i have somethign to look forward to at the end of the shift. going home and hving my bed still warm for me. there is a use for him!
then last nite i was tired so i didnt go out. we watched tv for a bit and had chinese takeaway for diner while watchign costume dramas on tv. then chris decided that the chinese food was keepign him up so he was talking to me til 1.30 in the morning and then went to watch mroe tv. then my borther came in with his girlfriend and she was yellign and they were both very noisy so i was very cranky. i went downstairs and dragged chris off to bed because i didnt want him to wake me up again when he came upsatirs.
so fianlly i got some sleep but then i had to get up early to drop chris off home before work which is in the opposite direction. then i worked from 10.30-8.30 which was tirirng because as usual we were understaffe and i almost threw chicken at this rude customer coz id had enuff and he was shiiting me. well he was!
then i came home tired and cranky to find my parents are away for another nite, and my monitor totally ruined. ie. no picture,. its been blurrybfor a while but what can u do? its brand spanking new moniotr thats broken already. so ive borrowed one from the boy so i can finish my uni work but its almost done and theres not long now til janas race. take care all
hope u had a good weekend, tho it cant have been hard to have had a better one than mind.
byE now , back to the tv and couch for me!

aw, i don't think it's totally her fault. I blame the people who picked the team. She'd collapsed mid race before, and they knew that, so why did they put her in? Silly silly silly...
Glad jana got through. She worries me though...like, if her knee was killing her, i don't think she'd tell anyone. I think she'd just be all 'it's ok. I'm running. You can't stop me!' and then she'd hurt herself even more. She seems to determined for her own good or something..

well lets say she will have no knee left after the games...the part they removed to stop most of the pain was very improtant!!!!! but meh!...
okies if the girl wanted to be in the rowing and she promised she wouldnt do it again...then thats her initative nad the team managers and trainers picked/trained her in the knowledge she's perform and stuff...im sure thats a promise/agreement they would have come to when proposing to place her on the team. plus how could u do that! u no wat pressure there is and stuff...if u no u cant do it them y be on the team!!!! i think its very selfish and i cant believe she ahs complained about her team mates! honestly in the heat of the moment i would b fuming too! cos hell she did let them down!!!! tis expected!!! im sorry but i have no sympathy for her - she brought it onto her self!

It is very true but i hear america's basketball team sucks oh well. Elf seeker... Don't you have the olympics on a free to air channel not cable?! Here it's only on free-to-air... I'm with miska on the whole rowing thing... She was very selfish if she put herself willingly into the team knowing that hitting the wall might happen... It just means everybody else misses out... The thing that REALLY REALLY gets me angry is the fact that the whole rowing beat-up got more media coverage and front page exposure then the Mens teams pursuit cycling team that is the currently the absolute best in the world... Track cycling is my favourite sport at the olympics and it's so annoying that on of the greatest performances EVER should be pushed aside for some b*tch fight amonst chick rowers... It's time for the media to GET REAL!!!!! and GET OVER IT!!!  |
