Can anyone tell that I miss Paul?!
My overactivity on this site over the last week has been entirely caused by his absense...and my attempt to make the time fly by staying occupied.
Anyone got any ideas what I can do to make this next week fly?!

If you've got any pass them on to me.  I haven't seen my boy in over a week now, and it's gonna be at least the end of the week before i can.  Which is why I've bene lurkign around a lot more recently....even posted a couple of times.  |

Aww. I'd go crazy if I didn't see my other half for a few days. A good way of passing time (although still computer related) is www.shockwave.com There are loads of games - the bookworm I find particularly addictive. Another way is to start Tai-Bo (or however you spell it) You know, the exercise which is kinda matrial artsy? Well, I've been trying it the last few days and it;s so complicating and takes all my concentration (mostly so that I don't fall over). Might work, you never know! |

min my ex went overseas for 6 months it was hell!
it was better when he dumped me coz then i could move on but still i had 2 and a half months of no phone calls and infrequent emails which was yucky

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll have to go check out livejournal some time. Time for a big whine. I just want him to come home. Only this isn't his home. He's been lovely on sms's but I dunno, I'm reading too much into his txt this morning that NZ is his home. It's like ok...why are you wasting my time if you have no intention of ever calling Oz your home (but I'm not saying it like that, I asked him if oz was just a working holiday then til he found something in NZ). Isn't home just supposed to be where the people you love are? After all, I wouldn't have loved Edinburgh so much if it hadn't have been for the people, and I wouldn't keep coming back to Obernewtyn.net if it wasn't for the people too. Boys are stupid. I need a reality check on the whole situation too...argh, this sucks. I wish I could talk to him... Sorry ppls, need a therapist, that's all.  All: That's what live journal's for!!! Lix...that sucks. I hope you made his life hell after that. I would have. And Timm: unfortuntately I have too much fun blaming stuff on you. |

You know, I was jsut about to post on this topic.. My boy decides, that since we havent' seen each other in 2 weeks, the one day we both have off school and work is the day he's goign to go out of town to visit his brother.....pfft... Min, you may be right, btu with the experience I have with guys (nearly all my closest friends) sometimes, they really have no idea what they're implying with what they say. They really can be that clueless that they have no idea that what they're saying is making you nervous/upset/annoyed etc. He may not realise that his sms's are suggesting that he doens't really wanna live in Aus. *shrugs* I dunno, but I hope it works out for you. *offers chocolate* |

I should know, I spend my entire life around Football clubs! Min, Home is where the heart is... You are his heart. It's hard for him to not express these sorts of feelings when he's over there but you wait till he gets back. Each time I go back to where I was brought up in Northern NSW I think "Gee, I wouldn't mind coming back here preminantly' Cause it's so lovely but then I think "Thats not practical- How could I ever leave everything and one I love here in Brisbane?! It'd just be a stepbackwards!" Don't worry min... He'll get back and see you and never want to leave! |

Ok, time for something to make everybody feel better, and I believe this is it (if you're feeling creative): Oven to 200*C/gas mark 6, and put a baking tray in at same time. Melt 175G dark choc and let it cool while you're doing the rest. Cream together 75g caster sugar and 25g butter. Beat in 2 eggs and 1tsp vanilla extract. Add a pinch of salt (love saying that!). Add 25g of plain flour until you have a smooth mixture. Add the choc and enjoying watching it go from yellow to mmmmmm choc brown. Yum. Then divide between 3 buttered pudding moulds/ramekins with a circle of baking paper in the bottom. Place on top of the baking tray in the oven and leave them for about 12 min. As soon as they're out the oven turn them out into a bowl with a dollop of ice cream. Yummy! ;D If you don't want to eat them straight away the mixture will stay in the fridge in the moulds (uncooked of course!!) for about a day, and will need a few extra mins in the oven if they're out the fridge. Oooo, they're all crunchy chewy on the outside and gooey lovely on the inside (like armadillos - if you ever had that advert  ) Anyways - credit to Nigella Lawson, she's fab and I recoommend everything she bakes/cooks!
