A very expensive toaster, with a bad script and shocking characters. I wonder if that was done on purpose, in order to make us all glad when everyone drowned?

the original buffy (the 80s movie with luke perry) i went out and bought the dvd because otherwise i waste all my money hiring it out.
pathetic.
that and desert blue, which even i will admit isn't that good. but desert blue i bought for 30 cents. (go team!) i saw that it had the guy who played warren in empire records and just decided to rent it. then i saw it in an op shop and bought it. now i just keep watching it.
also pathetic.
i also like ever after, even though it really irritates me, i watch it a lot. dougray scott was good in enigma in everafter..... to much padding in his pants i say!

Timm, I don't think Spiderman was *that* bad. I even thought the second one was quite funny in places. Maybe I'm just feeble brained.
Woo Morcambe and Wise! Yaay!
I thought Ever After was a good twist on the original fairy tale, but Drew Barrymore starts to grind on me a bit (in general). Costumes were funky though!

He was so wet and wimpy. I wouldn't have done half of the things Drew did for him. He just wasn't worth it. When they finally got together properly at the end, I thought: you don't deserve her, you wimpy, pants-padded prince!

I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about Ever After simply because I've read so many spins on Cinderella that are better. However I did like the 'I've come to rescue you' bit. Hee.

That was a great scene, wasn't it? Which Cinderella adaptions would you recommend? It's a favourite archetype of the movie industry, isn't it? The hard done by girl (or boy) makes their way in the end, winning their prince (or princess) in the process. And in Australia, we have the 'Aussie battler' variant. Do you have a favourite 'Cinderella' film? This applies to anyone else who cares to respond. And to all those people who like Titanic - don't be ashamed of it. That's what this thread is about, essentially.

The Slipper and the Rose is the best Cinderella adaptation ever! It's got Richard Chamberlain in it, and he sings and dances, and it's wonderful. It's also got the wife from one foot in the grave in and the guy who narrated paddington bear. And they all sing too! It's wonderful! Teehee. ;D

Hey...ok, didn't answer straight away, but it was about 3.05pm here - what time is the forum thing set to (I've changed it so that when I'm logged in it's right for me.) It said 4.49pm just before I logged on and for me it's 11.09pm, that Aus time or USA or what? Do you have diff time zones over there like America? Just to be nosey

Lucy, I think it's set on some American time. Min tried to change it to Aussie time (since most of us are Australian), but it refused to let her. It's a very rude messageboard at times...

To make Australian Eastern Standard time, I think you need to put +15 or +16 hours in the time zone box...

Yeah, but it only works for individuals. Min wanted to change it so it showed Aussie time at the top, no matter who you were.
