MIN!!!! Long time no see... In fact I don't think we have ever seen each other... we may have to change that... As you can see this thread has sort of run off the rails a bit!  I don't want to work at KFC ever again in my life after I had a 3 year stint there... In fact I don't think I could work in food again...and one job I would hate to have is owning one of those dog washing trailers and wash dogs all day. The dogs would be uncontrollable, that's why the owners get somebody else to wash them!  |

Hey Glynna! I know, I've been pummelled at work recently and totally taken hostage on the weekend by friends so I dedicated this afternoon to obernewtyn.net to have a catch up ;D
(and yes, we have to have a Brissy meet!)
You reminded me, I don't think I'd ever want to be a kitchenhand EVER again...gross. Waitress & bar gal are ok jobs for fillers, but never a kitchenhand.

i think everyone hates those door to door salespeople. and those ones that ring up 5000000000 times a day.  hey Glynna...what's the mayonnaise and stuff made out of in KFC? do you know? because my science teacher said he worked there once and we don't wanna know what's in that mayo...and now i'm scared.  ok...jobs i don't wanna do... nurse/doctor, cleaner, salesperson, daycare person, teacher, construction worker, accountant or anything else that deals with a lot of paperwork...  i'm sure there's lots of others, but i need time to think...  |

The mayo is miracle whip made by Kraft... You can buy it in supermarkets... It's just got a higher level of saturated fats and oils in it then a normal mayo and sugar as well... And I'm sure (like everything at KFC) it has sometype of addicitive substance in to so you want it more... I got addicited to it and all KFC products while I worked there... I'd eat it more now if I let myself... But I've lost 10kgs since I left there so I don't eat it much! |

Jobs i definatly don't want to do is sit in the those little tooll both things and take money*shudders* pilot couldn't be in charge of ll those lives.
and really stessfull jobs like doctors where is it go go go. Telemarketer too.

I wouldn't want to be a Politician, unless I could start some kind of ultra left wing party.
If I got government (and I wouldn't because no one would join my party, let alone elect a filthy commie like me), I would legalise abortion, and gay marriage! And I'd let refugees in, and launch a comprehensive environment restoration program. And MAKE HIGHER EDUCATION CHEAPER AND ACCESIBLE TO ALL. And I'd inject more funding into the ABC, and give tax cuts to the poor, instead of the rich! And I'd do something about unemployment. Make it actually POSSIBLE for people to get the dole, instead of making so bloody complex that no one can be bothered with it! And I'd do something about the homeless population. And I'd reduce Greenhouse gas emissions, and repair Australia's damaged relationship with South East Asia. And let's not even START on what I'd do about George Bush and his ludicrously racist war on terror. WAR ON TERROR? Stop beating about the Bush, and just admit it's a war on Muslims!!! STUPID PRESIDENT!!!

Anyway, seeing as no one would elect me, I'd hate to be a politician.
YAlthough I find it sad that it'd probably less my posistion on environment or defence that'd see me with the smallest vote, but my posisition on gay rights.
ANYWAY, I digress...
I'd also hate to be in retail (espcecially telemarketing).
Kayt's secret: I wouldn't mind being a DJ. I reckon I could talk pretty incessantly and make my radio show pretty interesting. And my jokes are plenty lame enough!

I think I agree with pretty much everything that's been said. Telemarketing: ick. Sales in general: ARGH! Politics: only if I become insane. Nursing: I don't have enough compassion or patience. I'd never want to work in any sort of fast food store or, in fact, anything to do with hospitality. My almost-sister-in-law works in hospitality, so I hear all the horror stories from her.
Factory work also sounds as though it's about as much fun as a home eye tattooing kit.
And I don't think I'd ever want to be the person who holds up the 'stop/go' sign at a roadworks site. (Did you know that you actually have to do a course before you're allowed to use the 'stop/go' sign? Apparently, it takes half a day for you to learn how to use it...)

Yeah, it'd suck to be the Stop/Go guy. But i suppose the training might come in useful for other jobs later in life!

But I guess that wouldn't be democracy! Perhaps I should seize control of the state and then be a dictator, but a really GOOD dictator, who makes wise choices and takes care of the people and the environment.

THAT is what i want to do!! I want to HOLD the stop/go sign, and HELP people, by making sure they dont drive into roadwork and massive craters. it would be so FULFILLING. and i could learn how to USE it and to TURN ot from stop to go and....oh i am overcome by the possibilities! *looks overcome and fans self*

I'm so glad I played a part in giving Bobbi a true vocation. (I'm also embarrassed by the fact that I almost accidentally spelt Bobbi with two Os instead of two Bs...  ) We need more STOP/GO people in the world. Perhaps one day, I will be able to found a national STOP/GO school, where people like Bobbi can come and study and eventually leave with a fulfilling job that is more than an occupation - it's a passion.
