How long have you been at Ober.net?
2 years last May.

Where did my Ober.net name come from?
Well, long story but hey! you all have all day. My real name's Amy and I was really shall we say Square at school so my friends (my two best friends actually believe it or not (hmmm.... using that phrase a lot at the mo) ) decided to make up a new nick name for me. I remember it very vividly. It was year 10. We were sitting in the middle of the front row in Maths (and yes it was the top class) and my friend Lucy likes to draw caricatures and cartoons with these caricatures which are actually stick figures just with a feature that relates them to the person they are supposed to be. Actually, on second thought my caricature for the name didn't come til year11. Anyway, they decided to combine Amy and Square into one name. And being the silly little year 10 girls we were at the time (and we still are silly) started saying square with the "are" bit at the end actually sounding like "are" instead of the cutomary "air" and adding a "mi" to the end created the name "Squarmi" for me. It was supposed to be an insult, but I refused to be insulted and it's been my alias ever since.

I don't know. I love them all. Swallow maybe. And Dragon???

Which is my fav Ober book?
Probably Ashling. It's hard to choose though.

How could you not guess?? Purple and Yellow

Who discriminates between food?? Anything my Mum's parents cook, chocolate, chicos.

What are some of my hobbies or interests?
Procrastinating (something every uni student leaves uni witha degree in) [glow=red,2,300]DANCING!!!! [/glow] Singing, I'll get my flute out occasionally and have a toot. Reading obviously (specially IC Of course) Theatre especially Musicals (not the acting part - the watching or backstage part)

How long have you been at Ober.net?
Since...January 1999? I was part of an Obernewtyn mailing list called Guildmerge before that, and one of the members advertised for Obernewtyn.net on there.

Where did your ober.net name come from?
It's my IRL nick. Kinda. Everyone's called me Mindy (except my work colleages...) since as far back as I can remember.

Who's your favourite Obernewtyn character?
Dameon and Matty!! Luv 'em both.

Farseekers, because it's so action-packed.

What's your favourite colour?
tough one, I have lots. Maroon, blue, black, purple...

What's your favourite food?
Anything vegetarian and Italian.

What are some of your hobbies or interests?
playing guitar or piano, reading, computer games, web page design, driving and just going out (pubbing or clubbing, either is fine). I'm interested in anything with an element of the unreal in it.

Hmm these are tough! I love the 'ravek; scene between elf and Rushton in Ashling... but there are things I love about each book, so I dont think I could pick a favourite, I know that Obernewtyn isn't the fav though... I still love it dont get my wrong!

Purple and lime green and umm i dunno

hmm i dunno (hehe i cant answer any of these!) too many I cant decide!

What are some of your hobbies or interests?
I love to read, sing, play clarinet, pretty much anything musical, i love to act and play basketball and just have fun with my mates

I really can't remember. I think about 3 years, but it might be 2 and a half.

Where did your ober.net name come from?

Ah, well... I be Kayt Sel Liantuy, the Nameless Wanderer. Why the Nameless Wanderer? Well, I was the as-yet-unnamed Wanderer for a while, while I tried to think up a Wanderer name. Then I became the Nameless Wanderer, while I kept thinking. And I never found anything, so I remain the Nameless One. It kinda works, because I'm quiet and sort of anonymous.
Now: Why Kayt Sel Liantuy? That's my secretly special secret. Talk to me one day and I might tell you!

Who's your favourite Obernewtyn character?

I love Damo, and Matty, and Brydda. I also love Kella, Aras and Miryum. But I think I'd have to say Matty is my fave. Although... Brydda *swoon swoon*

Ashling!!! No idea why! Might be the whole lotta Kella in it. Might be the whole lotta Brydda! And I love the bit where Matty dissapears. It's so sad, still makes me cry!!!

hmmm i love having a bbq and a couple drinks wit friends! love ssoccer - watchin and playing. as well as hockey and athletics. tho i dont play much sport anymore ... love the beach but fav thing is skiing!!!! enjoy sciences and would love to be a doctor, genetic counceler or a biology/chemisrty teacher. (well thats wat ive decided now -) love (gosh im using that alot but hey im passionate! ) meeting new ppl and gettin into intence convos - doesnt matter wat its on but if it gets my mind thiking i thouroghly enjoy it!!! i guess u could say bad spellin and horrific typing is also a good hobbie!

Um...in January or Feb this year.

Where did your ober.net name come from?
well, on another board I'm on I go by Ethereal Deva but I got kinda sick of that and wanted to change it, but all my choices were already taken when I joined, so I just went with Ethereal. Ethereal Deva very loosely translated means spirit-like angel....very loosely translated. And I just thought it was really pretty.

Matthew followed by Maryon and Fian.

I'm a huge reader, all the time and anything. I used to write a lot, but my muse seems to have gone on an extended holiday. Other than that my interests are my friends and hanging out with them I guess.

what ober net name? hehe Elixa is my mystical side, the nutty one who likes to meidtate and used to play make believe fantasy games whn she was little coz her sister was a pain in the butt. we dont see much of lix these days but shes in here somewhere

avocado but the nicest thing i ever had was ricotta ravili with avis and prawns, oooh was sooo yum i could go fro some right now cept its nearly 2am

oooh what r they? i hang out here, i work, i see my man, and i go to french classes and i study tourism. other than that i dont have much of a life, but im happy!

Rilla came from "Rilla" in the druids camp. She was cool. I didn't really think it up, but i was re-reading the farseekers when i first came here and i was up to that bit, so i just used it.

Ohh... Dameon and Matty... and Dragon... and Rilla! Yay! Go small virtually useless characters!

Um... Farseekers... i think...

Bright, bright blue! and dark red.

Well the name is from a phrase the you see at the bottom as my siginture and I use this name all over the place.

When I was a guide, I was the pack guide for a brownie group. I took the name Warrame for that. Later, I started using Warrame as an internet name. Someone kept mistyping my name as Warrmae, and I liked that form so much, I turned it into an alternative internet name.

The 'boy-band' (Rushton, Alad, Ariel and Domick)

The Sending... because it's the one I'm so impatient to read!

umm i joined ober.net about 4 and a half years ago - but i've only really been active since i finished school which was at the end of 2002

Well i originally had a site called emerald vortex and so i decided to stick with it - it's also the gem of my star sign Tuarus

Well i love reading - mainly fantasy, but i'm starting to branch into other genres... i love music - listening and playing and i like computers. I also love anything to do with ancient or medieval history

Lolol was my baby nickname, which got shortened to Lol. It was only a family nickname until many of my friends picked it up a few years ago. I use variations of it on other boards/live journal etc.

How long have you been at Ober.net?
Umm, I think Ive been here since about april 2000 (I think that was the time wen we first got the internet)

Where did your ober.net name come from?
Well, I chose Aurian, I think I was reading the artefacts of power series at the time which i loved, and fell in love with some of the qualities and skills of the main character, Aurian. Also she has red hair and green eyes, of which I was, and am still insanely jealous of (since my eyes and hair are both commonly brown) The friendly wanderer just sorta came out cause thats how I felt i was at the time, and tho id have chosen a different word looking back, its stuck so long ...thanks Marumiss for the concept tho tis a nice touch for us wanderers

Who's your favourite Obernewtyn character?
Thats tough to pick one...so heres a few! I like out of the lads, Gilbert (luv him! hope he comes back into the story again), Brydda and Swallow- charming, rebellious and mysterious and the fiesty gals like jakoby and miryum are fabulous!

Hmm, this is tough, but Id probably say ashling, tho Ive read obernewtyn the most, but the pic on the faseekers (93 ed) made me pick up the book & series in the first place (Mum bought me ober & TF for christmas that year). Sadly Ive neglected TKP the most cause I haveta read the other 3 first and I dont get round to reading much during uni *smirks at warrmae's answer* wish Id thought of that one

Pretty much anything, especially if its got a flavour punch!

What are some of your hobbies or interests?
MUSIC! I love to sing and write songs on my ex school guitar that I bought in yr 11. Absolutely love musicals, and especially love jazz, tho am possibly looking into having a bash at opera studies (as weird as that sounds lol) Love to write angsty poetry when Im depressed, and would love to come up with a decent plot line for a great fantasy fic story. Love reading, just wish I had more time to read. Love collecting net pictures & would love to learn how to design a website...still workin on that one...I got lost at tables last time i tried ;D
