Laikia (Possably, not too sure) Black Cat Bone Must have been the devil who changed my mind Must have been the wind blowing not me crying Half the joy of leaving was the space I left behind Now I'm back, angel headed hollow eyed Placed myself at the eye of the storm Just didn't see the signpost that scorned Blue sky, wrinkled through my tears Then darkness, clouded all my fears I gave him my sugar he switched it for salt Should have seen him coming that's always my fault Rocks for my pillow and sand for my bed For better of worse I left him for dead But two river, to each other run Like words that shook me like the kick of a gun Something in my heart ain't got no name Turned out he felt the same Ain't it lonesome, ain't it sad I was the only happiness he ever had By indian river the vows were said In a red devil's dress I was wed Kitty cat bone, kitty kitty cat bone (6x) B*tches baby, round lady came to me in a dream Then lightning struck and thunder roared And nothing was as it seemed A two-headed doctor walked on the water He buried a lemon outside my door He turned and left, threw up his hands When I asked him what it was for he sang 'Ships in the ocean, rocks in the sea Blonde headed woman made a fool out of me.' Then everything went crazy My shoes they filled with blood The water rose, the wind did howl The river looked ready to flood I left my man, asleep to drown And ran without looking back around Ring the bells of mercy send the sinner man home The keys to the kingdom are lost and gone And I'm left to die alone All of these girls have grown old now All that long hair in teh grave Realise whats done is done It's far too late to be saved Here kitty kitty kitty (3x) Kitty cat bone, kitty kitty cat bone (6x) Here kitty kitty kitty. Sorry if there's any mistakes. I did it all from memory.

Here's to musicals!! This is from Singing in the Rain, which everyone must see at least a million times in their life.
Good Morning
Good morning, Good morning We've talked the whole night through Good morning, good morning to you
Good morning, Good morning It's great to stay up late Good morning, Good morning to you.
When the band began to play the stars were shining bright Now the milkman's on his way It's too late to say goodnight
So, good morning, good morning Sunbeams will soon smile through Good morning, good morning to you and you and you and you
Good morning, good morning We've gabbed the whole night through Good morning, good morning to you Nothing could be grander than to be in Louisana
In the morning, in the morning It's Great! to stay up late Good morning, good morning to you It might be just a zippy If you was in Mississippi!
When we left the movie show The future wasn't bright But came the dawn The show goes on And I don't wanna say good night
So say Good Morning! Good morning! Rainbows are shining through Good morning, Good morning, Bonjour, Monsuier Bonas Dies, Bunus Greas Bonjourrrrno, Artichonnnno, Good Morgan, Licha Moana Good morning to you!

I'm singing in the rain Just singin in the rain What a glorious feeling I'm happy again Let the stormy clouds chase Everyone from the place (I can't recall this line) There's a smile on my face I'm laughing at the clouds So dark up above The suns in my heart And I'm ready for love
I'd go on, but I'm sick and tired!!!

You want me? watering-caning, well come and find me I'll be waiting With a gun and a pack of sandwiches
And nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing
You want me? Well, come on and break the door down You want me? watering-caning come on and break the door down
I'm ready I'm ready I'm ready I'm ready

[glow=pink,2,300] oooh and i love this one too!
Artist: Butthole Surfers Lyrics Song: Whatever (I Had a Dream) Lyrics
...peace. I hate the word, As I hate hell, All Montagues
I had a dream last night 'Cause it looked just like a dream I had a dream last night But it looked unlike a dream
Mercy, mercy, I'm made of heart Make me a suit so I can get it off Heaven, help me, my head's spinnin' 'round Stop this airplane 'cause I got to get down
I had a dream last night And it fit me like a glove I had a dream last night And it fit me like a glove, the Hell one
- Ha ha ha ha...
Here's to the Montagues John Wayne and Betty Davis And Romeo, he waved before A chorus girl in Vegas, hey ha ha
Juliet is up in Heaven A pocket full of pills And Jesus drives to Mexico To get her prescription filled
I had a dream last night And it fit me like a glove There was a scream last night It was gettin' kind of fun, yeah, rock out, whatever
Ha ha ha... Ha ha ha... Ha ha ha... Ha ha ha...
I had a dream last night Because she looked just like a dream I had a dream last night Because she looked just like a dream
She was on fire last night And I was breathing gasoline I had a dream last night And it fit me like a glove
I had to scream last night Lord above
I didn't know where to shake my butt Walked backwards, watering-caned like a fox I was more watering-caned up than your sister's tackle box Three AM at 5 o'clock
And one of us leaves And I got shot Shot me down Yeah, whatever, rock out
That's it, this is my rhyme Take it to the street, biyatch!

[shadow=red,left,300]one Of my Favourite songs is from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.[/shadow] [glow=red,2,300]Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot. He was not afraid to die, O brave Sir Robin. He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways, Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin! He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp, Or to have his eyes gouged out and his elbows broken, To have his kneecaps split and his body burned away And his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Robin! His head smashed in and his heart cut out And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off And his pen-- SIR ROBIN: That's-- that's, uh-- that's enough music for now, lads. Heh.[/glow] [shadow=red,left,300]Sorry if it is a bit rude [/shadow]

Well, back on the R&J track, here's my fav from the CD. To You I Bestow - Mundy Wait a minute now, I'll see you when I come back I could be sharing someone else's pillow And my love for you is better than diamonds To you, everything I bestow And tomorrow, I'll be dancin' on my own And I'll need a kiss for my head that's achin' And I'll be a hungry dog without a bone Hoping my place with you's not taken Kiss me and tell me it's not broken Kiss me and kiss me 'til I'm dead See, I give you the stars from the bruised evening sky And a crown of jewels for your head now For your head now For your head now For your head One last night in bed for a time And two more wishes and both are for thine And three guesses, you're the angel's child Four hopes that this love's not spoiled Kiss me and tell me it's not broken Kiss me and kiss me 'til I'm dead See, I give you the stars from the bruised evening sky And a crown of jewels for your head now For your head now For your head now For your head now And if you come back, I'll take you to the garden We'll dance to an orchestra on the lawn And we roll in the foggy dew And dance with the ghosts upon the dawn and on the dawn and on the dawn Then you'll kiss me and tell me it's not broken Kiss me and kiss me 'til I'm dead See, I give you the stars from the bruised evening sky And a crown of jewels for your head now For your head now And for your head now For your head now For your head now For your head Oooooh Whoa Oooooh Whoa Oooooh Whoa Oooooh Oooooh Ow! Ow! Ow! And for all of those Monty Python fans out there, check this site out! Tis the best! It's full of all of their skits, songs and other stuff. Very funny stuff! www.serve.com/bonzai/monty/

i know some bits from mikado, not all
this one was better written for when it was played last by... dunno who produced it actually, but with john english etc derek metzger sung this: As some day it may happen that a victim must be found, I've got a little list--I've got a little list Of society offenders who might well be underground, And who never would be missed--who never would be missed! There's the pestilential nuisances who write for autographs-- All people who have flabby hands and irritating laughs-- All children who are up in dates, and floor you with 'em flat-- All persons who in shaking hands, shake hands with you like that-- And all third persons who on spoiling tête-à-têtes insist-- They'd none of 'em be missed--they'd none of 'em be missed! CHORUS. He's got 'em on the list--he's got 'em on the list; And they'll none of 'em be missed--they'll none of 'em be miss'd!
There's the banjo serenader, and the others of his race, And the piano-organist--I've got him on the list! And the people who eat peppermint and puff it in your face, They never would be miss'd--they never would be miss'd! Then the idiot who praises, with enthusiastic tone, All centuries but this, and every country but his own; And the lady from the provinces, who dresses like a guy, And who "doesn't think she dances, but would rather like to try"; And that singular anomaly, the lady novelist-- I don't think she'd be missed--I'm sure she'd not he missed! CHORUS. He's got her on the list--he's got her on the list; And he don't think she'll be missed--he's sure she won't be miss'd!
And that Nisi Prius nuisance, who just now is rather rife, The Judicial humorist--I've got him on the list! All funny fellows, comic men, and clowns of private life-- They'd none of 'em be missed--they'd none of 'em be missed. And apologetic statesmen of a compromising kind, Such as--What d'ye call him--Thing'em-bob, and likewise--Never-mind, And 'St--'st--'st--and What's-his-name, and also You-know-who-- The task of filling up the blanks I'd rather leave to you. But it really doesn't matter whom you put upon the list, For they'd none of 'em be missed--they'd none of 'em be missed! CHORUS. You may put 'em on the list--you may put 'em on the list; And they'll none of 'em be missed--they'll none of 'em be missed!
tiz kinda funny anyway

YUM-YUM.
Here's a how-de-do! If I marry you, When your time has come to perish, Then the maiden whom you cherish Must be slaughter'd too! Here's a how-de-do! Here's a how-de-do! NANKI-POO. Here's a pretty mess! In a month, or less, I must die without a wedding! Let the bitter tears I'm shedding Witness my distress, Here's a pretty mess! Here's a pretty mess! KO-KO. Here's a state of things To her life she clings! Matrimonial devotion Doesn't seem to suit her notion-- Burial it brings! Here's a state of things! Here's a state of things! ALL. With a passion that's intense I worship and adore, But the laws of common sense We oughtn't to ignore. If what he says is true, 'Tis death to marry you! Here's a pretty state of things! Here's a pretty how-de-do! Here's a pretty state of things! A pretty state of things! YUM-YUM. Here's a how-de-do! NANKI-POO. Here's a how-de-do! KO-KO. Here's a how-de-do! ALL. For if what he says is true, I cannot, cannot marry you! Here's a pretty, pretty state of things! ALL (spoken) Here's a pretty how-do-do!
but this be my favourite!! my boyfriend says he'll tickle me to death if he hears me sing it again

Wow, I can't believe this thread is still going! I'm another big fan of musicals, but I don't think I'll post one. Instead, here's a song I've really gotten into lately. Another story song.
Beeswing
I was nineteen when I came to town, they called it the Summer of Love They were burning babies, burning flags. The hawks against the doves I took a job in the steamie down on Cauldrum Street And I fell in love with a laundry girl who was working next to me
Oh she was a rare thing, fine as a bee's wing So fine a breath of wind might blow her away She was a lost child, oh she was running wild She said "As long as there's no price on love, I'll stay. And you wouldn't want me any other way"
Brown hair zig-zag around her face and a look of half-surprise Like a fox caught in the headlights, there was animal in her eyes She said "Young man, oh can't you see I'm not the factory kind If you don't take me out of here I'll surely lose my mind"
Oh she was a rare thing, fine as a bee's wing So fine that I might crush her where she lay She was a lost child, she was running wild She said "As long as there's no price on love, I'll stay. And you wouldn't want me any other way"
We busked around the market towns and picked fruit down in Kent And we could tinker lamps and pots and knives wherever we went And I said that we might settle down, get a few acres dug Fire burning in the hearth and babies on the rug She said "Oh man, you foolish man, it surely sounds like hell. You might be lord of half the world, you'll not own me as well"
Oh she was a rare thing, fine as a bee's wing So fine a breath of wind might blow her away She was a lost child, oh she was running wild She said "As long as there's no price on love, I'll stay. And you wouldn't want me any other way"
We was camping down the Gower one time, the work was pretty good She thought we shouldn't wait for the frost and I thought maybe we should We was drinking more in those days and tempers reached a pitch And like a fool I let her run with the rambling itch
Oh the last I heard she's sleeping rough back on the Derby beat White Horse in her hip pocket and a wolfhound at her feet And they say she even married once, a man named Romany Brown But even a gypsy caravan was too much settling down And they say her flower is faded now, hard weather and hard booze But maybe that's just the price you pay for the chains you refuse
Oh she was a rare thing, fine as a bee's wing And I miss her more than ever words could say If I could just taste all of her wildness now If I could hold her in my arms today Well I wouldn't want her any other way

Go Chicago!
Mr Billy Flynn in the press comference rag. Notice how his mouth never moves. Almost.
Where'd you come from? Mississippi. And your parents? Very wealthy. Where are they now? 6 feet under, Bu she was granted one more start, (i don't know this line)
When'd you get here? 1920 How old were you? Don't remember. Then what happened? I met Amos, and he stole my heart away Convinced me to elope one day.
Oh you poor dear i can't believe waht you've been through, (something), a runaway marriage... Now tell us Roxie...
Who's Fred Casely? My ex-boyfriend. Why'd you shoot him? I was leaving. Was he angry? Like a madman, Still i said Fred move along, She new that she was doing wrong.
Then decribe it. He toward me. With the pistol? From my beareu Did you fight him? Like a tiger He had strength and she had none, And yet we both reached for the gun.
Oh yes oh yes oh yes we both oh yes we both oh yes we both reached for The gun the gun the gun oh yes we both reached for the gun for the gun... Oh yes oh yes oh yes we both oh yes we both oh yes we both reached for The gun the gun the gun oh yes we both reached for the gun for the gun...
Understandable Understandable Yes it's perfectly Understandable Comprehensible Comprehensible Not a bit reprehensible It's all defensible...
How're you feeling? Very frightened. Are you sorry? Are you kidding? What's your statement? All i'll say is Though my chu-chu jumped the track i'd get my life to bring it back.
And? Stay away from What? Jazz and liquor and? and the men who What? play for fun And what? That's the thought that Yeah! came upon me When? When we both reached for the gun!
Understandable Understandable Yes it's perfectly Understandable Comprehensible Comprehensible Not a bit reprehensible It's all defensible...
Oh yes oh yes oh yes we both oh yes we both oh yes we both reached for The gun the gun the gun oh yes we both reached for the gun for the gun...
A little bit louder...
Oh yes oh yes oh yes we both oh yes we both oh yes we both reached for The gun the gun the gun oh yes we both reached for the gun for the gun...
Now you got it!
Oh yes oh yes oh yes we both oh yes we both oh yes we both reached for The gun the gun the gun oh yes we both reached for the gun for the gun...
Oh yes oh yes oh yes we both oh yes we both oh yes we both reached for The gun the gun the gun the gun the gun the gun the gun the gun the gun the gun the gun the gun the gun...
Both Reached for the Gun!
