OKay we have done this one!
Make way for Prince Ali Say hey! It's Prince Ali
Hey! Clear the way in the old Bazaar Hey you! Let us through! It's a bright new star! Oh Come! Be the first on your block to meet his eye!
Make way! Here he comes! Ring bells! Bang the drums! Oh! You gonna love this guy!
Prince Ali! Fabulous he! Ali Ababwa Genuflect, show some respect Down on one knee! Now, try your best to stay calm Brush up your sunday salaam The come and meet his spectacular coterie
Prince Ali! Mighty is he! Ali Ababwa Strong as ten regular men, definitely! He faced the galloping hordes A hundred bad guys with swords Who sent those goons to their lords? Why, Prince Ali
He's got seventy-five golden camels Purple peac0cks He's got fifty-three When it comes to exotic-type mammals Has he got a zoo? I'm telling you, it's a world-class menagerie
Prince Ali! Handsome is he, Ali Ababwa That physique! How can I speak Weak at the knee Well, get on out in that square Adjust your veil and prepare To gawk and grovel and stare at Prince Ali!
There's no question this Ali's alluring Never ordinary, never boring Everything about the man just plain impresses He's a winner, he's a whiz, a wonder! He's about to pull my heart asunder! And I absolutely love the way he dresses!
He's got ninety-five white Persian monkeys (He's got the monkeys, let's see the monkeys) And to view them he charges no fee (He's generous, so generous) He's got slaves, he's got servants and flunkies (Proud to work for him) They bow to his whim love serving him They're just lousy with loyalty to Ali! Prince Ali!
Prince Ali! Amorous he! Ali Ababwa Heard your princess was a sight lovely to see And that, good people, is why he got dolled up and dropped by With sixty elephants, llamas galore With his bears and lions A brass band and more With his forty fakirs, his cooks, his bakers His birds that warble on key Make way for prince Ali!

All I want for Christmas is YOU!!!!!!! Ok, sorry, listening to Love Actually Soundtrack but I absolutey adore Anastacia!!!
Have you heard there's a rumour in St Petersburg
People in factory: St Peterburg is gloomy St Peterburg is bleak My underwear gets frozen standing here all week For since the revolution Our lives have been so grey Thank goodness for the gossip that gets us through the day Hey!
Crowd in street: have you heard?? There's a rumour in St Petersburg Have you heard?? What they're saying on the street? Newspaper seller: Although the tsar did not survive One daughter may be still alive Crowd: The Princess Anastacia!!! Newspaper seller: But please do not repeat!
Crowd: It's a rumour, a legend, a mystery. Something whispered in an alley way or through a crack. It's a rumour that's part of our history Fortune teller: They say her royal grandmamma will pay a royal sum Crowd: To someone who can bring the princess back
Guy in blackmarket: A rubel (sp?) for this painting It's Romanov, I swear Lady in blackmarket: Count blahblahblah's pajamas Comrades buy the pair Another guy in blackmarket: I got this from the palace It's lined with real fur All: It could be worth a fortune if it belonged to her!
(Dimitri and Vlad talk)
Dimitri: It's the rumour, the legend, the mystery It's the Princess Anastacia who will help us fly You and I friend will go down in history We'll find a girl to play the part And teach her what to say Dress her up and take her to Paris Imagine the reward her dear old Grandmamma will pay! Who else could pull it off but you and me?
We'll be rich! Vlad: We'll be rich! Dimitri: We'll be out! Vlad: We'll be out! Together: And St Petersburg will have some more to talk about!
Crowd: Have you heard? There's a rumour in St Petersburg Have you heard what they're saying on the street? Hey!
Have you heard? There's a rumour in St Petersburg! Have you heard? What's there? What do you suppose? A fascinating mystery. Dimitri: The biggest con in history! Crowd: The Princess Anastacia! Alive today! Window cleaner: Who knows? Shhh..
Journey to the past
Heart don't fail me now Courage don't desert me Don't turn back now that we're here People always say life is full of choices No one ever mentions fear Or how the world can seem so vast On a journey to the past
Somewhere down this road I know someone's waiting Years of dreams just can't be wrong Arms will open wide I'll be safe and wanted Finally home where I belong Well starting now, I'm learning fast On this journey to the past...
Home, love, family There was once a time I must have had them too Home, love, family I will never be complete until I find you
One step at a time One hope then another Who knows where this road may go? Back to who I was On to find my future Things my heart still needs to know Yes! Let this be a sign Let this road be mine Let it lead to my past And bring me home At last!
Once upon a December
Dancing bears, painted wings, Things I almost remember And a song someone sings Once upon a december
Someone holds me safe and warm Horses prance through a silver storm Figures dancing gracefully Across my memory
Someone holds me safe and warm Horses prance through a silver storm Figures dancing gracefully Across my memory
Far away, long ago Glowing dim as an ember Things my heart used to know Things it yearns to remember
And a song someone sings Once upon a december
Learn to do it
Vlad: You were born in a palace by the sea Anastacia: A palace by the sea. Could it be? Vlad: Yes that's right You rode horseback when you were only three Anastacia: horseback riding, me? Vlad: And the horse. Dimitri: He was white! Vlad: You made faces and terrorised the cook. Dimitri: threw him in the brook! Ana: Was I wild? Dimitri: wrote the book Vlad: But you'd behave when you father gave that look. Dimitri: Imagine how it was. Vlad: Your long forgotten past. Dimitri and Vlad: We've lots and lots to teach you and the time is going fast Ana: All right, I'm ready Vlad: Now shoulders back and stand up tall Dimitri: And do not walk but try to float Ana: I feel a little foolish. Am I floating? Vlad: Like a little boat Dimitri: You give a bow Ana: What happens now? Vlad: Your hand receives a kiss Dimitri and Vlad: Most of all remember this..
Vlad: If I can learn to do it, you can learn to do it Dimitri: something in you knows it Vlad: There's nothing to it. Follow in my footsteps, shoe by shoe Dimitri and Vlad: You can learn to do it too.
Vlad: Now elbows in and sit up straight Dimitri: and never slurp the strogonoff Ana: I never cared for strogonoff Vlad: She said that like a Romanov Dimitri: The samovar Vlad: The caviar! Ana: Desert and then goodnight?! Vlad and Dimitri: Not until you get this right.
Vlad: If I can learn to do it Dimitri: he can learn to do it Vlad: You can learn to do it Dimitri: You can learn to do it Vlad: Pull yourself together Vlad and Dimitri: And you'll pull through it Vlad: Tell yourself it's easy Dimitri: And it's true Vlad and Dimitri: You can learn to do it too!
Vlad: Next we memorise the names of the royalty.... Now here we have Kropotkin Dimitri: Shot Potemkin Vlad: in the Botkin Ana: Oh! Vlad: And dear old uncle Vanya loved his vodka Dimitri: Got it Anya? Ana: No! Vlad: The Baron Pushkin Ana: he was... Dimitri: Short! Vlad: Count Anatoly Ana: Had a Dimitri: Wart! Vlad: Count Sergei Dimitri: Wore a feathered hat Vlad: I hear he's gotten very fat Ana: And I recall his yellow cat! Vlad: I don't believe we told her that!
Ana: If you can learn to do it! I can learn to do it! Vlad: Don't know how you knew it! Ana: I simply knew it! Suddenly I feel like someone new! Dimitri and Vlad: Anya you're a dream come true! Vlad and Dimiti: If I can learn to do it Ana: I can learn to do it Vlad and Dimitri: You can learn to do it Ana: You can learn to do it Vlad: Pull yourself together! All: And you'll pull through it! Vlad: Tell yourself it's easy Ana and Dimitri: And it's true Vlad and Dimitri: You can learn to do Ana: Nothing to it All: You can learn to do it too!
Enough for today... Stay tuned for the rest later. Must go study guys. Squarmi

I think the ones that work best when you're reading the lyrics are story songs and ballads. Check this out.
The Queen and the Soldier - Suzanne Vega
The soldier came knocking upon the queen's door He said, "I am not fighting for you any more" The queen knew she'd seen his face someplace before And slowly she let him inside.
He said, "I've watched your palace up here on the hill And I've wondered who's the woman for whom we all kill But I am leaving tomorrow and you can do what you will Only first I am asking you why."
Down in the long narrow hall he was led Into her rooms with her tapestries red And she never once took the crown from her head She asked him there to sit down.
He said, "I see you now, and you are so very young But I've seen more battles lost than I have battles won And I've got this intuition, says it's all for your fun And now will you tell me why?"
The young queen, she fixed him with an arrogant eye She said, "You won't understand, and you may as well not try" But her face was a child's, and he thought she would cry But she closed herself up like a fan.
And she said, "I've swallowed a secret burning thread It cuts me inside, and often I've bled" He laid his hand then on top of her head And he bowed her down to the ground.
"Tell me how hungry are you? How weak you must feel As you are living here alone, and you are never revealed But I won't march again on your battlefield" And he took her to the window to see.
And the sun, it was gold, though the sky, it was gray And she wanted more than she ever could say But she knew how it frightened her, and she turned away And would not look at his face again.
And he said, "I want to live as an honest man To get all I deserve and to give all I can And to love a young woman who I don't understand Your highness, your ways are very strange."
But the crown, it had fallen, and she thought she would break And she stood there, ashamed of the way her heart ached She took him to the doorstep and she asked him to wait She would only be a moment inside.
Out in the distance her order was heard And the soldier was killed, still waiting for her word And while the queen went on strangeling in the solitude she preferred The battle continued on

Yeah i got addicted to that song when Nova (a radio station in Melbourne) started playing it heaps...
Heres one of my fav disney songs... hehe go Hurcules!!!
Bless my soul Herc was on a roll Person of the week in ev'ry Greek opinion poll What a pro Herc could stop a show Point him at a monster and you're talking S.R.O. He was a no one A zero, zero Now he's a honcho He's a hero Here was a kid with his act down pat From zero to hero...in no time flat Zero to hero...just like that
When he smiled The girls went wild with oohs and aahs And they slapped his face On ev'ry vase (on ev'ry vase)
From appearance fees and royalties Our Herc had cash to burn Now nouveau riche an' famous He could tell you What's a Grecian urn?
Say amen There he goes again Sweet and undefeated And an awesome 10 for 10 Folks lined up Just to watch him flex And his perfect package packed a pair of pretty pecs
Hercie, he comes He sees, he conquers Honey, they crowds were Going bonkers He showed tho moxie, brains and spunk From zero to hero...a major hunk Zero to hero...and whoda thunk
Who put the glad in gladiator? Hercules Whose daring deeds are great the-a-ter? Hercules Is he bold? No one braver Is he sweet? Our fav'rite flavor Hercules...Hercules...
Bless my soul Herc was on a roll Undefeated Riding high And the nicest guy Not conceited
He was a nothing A zero, zero Now he's a honcho He's a hero
He hit the heights at breakneck speed From zero to hero Herc is a hero Now he's a hero Yes, indeed!

wow thats was really long... i forgot to add... Everyone has to go to this site : www.niehs.nih.gov/kids/musicmovies.htmIt's is a great sing along site!!! if your feeling like singing go there... thats the movies and musicals page but if you click on the Main Index they have even more songs... Consider yourself at home Consider yourself one of the family We've taken to you so strong It's clear we're going to get along Consider yourself well in Consider yourself part of the furniture There isn't a lot to spare Who cares, whatever we've got we share If it should chance to be we should see some harder days Empty larder days, why grouse Always a chance to meet somebody to foot the bill Then the drinks are on the house Consider yourself our mate We don't want to have no fuss For after some consideration we can state Consider yourself one of us!

Arien! I woke up with that lion king song in my head this morning! How weird is that!?
Nine Days If I am
So you're standing on a ledge It looks like you might fall Its so far down Maybe you were thinking about jumping Well you could have it all If you learned a little paitence For though I can not fly I'm not content to fall Give me a little credit Have in me a little faith I wanna be with you forever And tomorrows not too late But it's always too late when you've got nothing So you say That you should never let the sun set on tomorrow Before the sun rises today.
There's a lot more to that song, but that's all I know from memory.

Okay, this is one of my favorite songs to listen to when I'm feeling sad because it's exactly how I felt when my Mum died. Of course change the boy to girl and I've got 3 little sisters instead of a brother (I think he's older). But you get the idea.
Joshua Kadison's "Mama's Arms"
Going back to a tender age, so full of confusion and rage, Daddy says, "Boys, your Mama's gone." There's a hand on your shoulder as you're throwing dirt, someone says, "Time heals the hurt. Little man you got to keep on keepin' on." but all you want is Mama's arms. You ride back home in a limousine, the saddest car that you've ever seen, your brother cannot look you in the eye. Lightning stikes and thunder roars, an early winter in that heart of yours, but you swear you won't let them see you cry 'ca use all you want is Mama's arms. The nieghbors come and bring you pies, endless words and futile sighs, and you run up to your room and lock the door. And there you are in your Sunday best, the way your Mama would have had your dressed, and you realize it doesn't matter anymore 'cause all you want is Mama's arms. 'Round and 'round and 'round it goes. The seasons change the young boy grows to understand it's all part of some plan. You used to wonder what it's all about, Now those are questions you can do without. You laugh them off and do the best you can. but all you want is Mama's arms. All you want in Mama's arms. Squarmi

Ah, Elixa!
Gilbert and Sullivan, ay?
With cat like tread! Upon the way we steal! With silence dread! Our cautious way we feel! No sound at all! We never speak a word! A fly's footfall would be distinctly heard! Come men who plow the seas! Truce to navigation! Take another station! Let's vary Piracy! With a little burglary!
Ah, if there's anything better than Gilbert and Sullivan, it's Gilbert and Sullivan writing operettas about pirates!!!
Hooray for pirates!!!
