First, just an apology for my lack of posts, especially of late. My crappy computer likes to cut me off from the net about every 60 seconds just to keep life interesting, which makes it a little hard. I hope this one makes it. So anyway, just had a squiz at the 'draft' Where are you?? Map and I'm the only one from WA. That makes me very sad (although I do feel special). Assuming I'm looking at the most up-to-date version of the map (which I may very well not be), I was just curious if there's any other West Aussie Obernewtyn fans out there. Or am I on my lonesome?? Anyway I'm off to perform some heroic duties. Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Long time no see, my dear.
I'm afraid I don't think there are any other Obernetters from WA.
You'll just have to move out East, to be with us!

is there much difference between the different parts of australia? Does anyone think any bits of the australian continent are better than any other regions... obviously enough i'm not from Australia. ...i might be called a 'norry'(don't much like the term) from one of the better bits of western Europe.

I Don't think so. It's just there are more Obernetter over in the east states that that west of Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. From what I've seen all parts of the Land of Aus are great landscape wise. City wise, you go in rank of largest; Sydney, Melbourne/Brisbane (there about the same just spread differently), Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Darwain.

*clears throat*
You forgot Canberra.
Like any country there are a lot of jokes people make about people from other states, and there's some rivalry. But basically, all of Australia is pretty much the same.
The Western side is a bit deserty though, while the East is greener, which is why there are more people there.

The most up-to-date version of the Where Are You From Map is still on my computer, I'm afraid. But the good news is that, if I recall correctly, there are at least two people and possibly three from WA. So you're not as alone as you might think. And I will get the Where Are You From Map online sometime soon, I promise. * looks guilty*
