I have her addy somewhere..........can't quite remember where though. I remember copying it down from on here somewhere, with the intention of writing her a letter, but never got round to it.
I'd so love to meet her though! Darn all of you people who have and will be meeting her!

I missed out on a chance to meet her once - does that count? My local library was holding a workshop for teenage writers and Isobelle was to be the author who ran it. I begged my mum to let me go, but she wouldn't. I can't remember why.

That was nice ;D
I will be seeing Isobelle Carmody at an Internationl Woman's Day Function, which is held on the 7th of March at another school (All Hallows). At my school 50 people are allowed to go. I am not sure, but I think IC will also be coming to my school the next day. My friend and I have made a list of questions to ask her, on the weekend sometime I will write the list up in this thread. If anyone has any other questions they can add them!!

She came to my school in 1990, but, well, that was the year i was born so yeah...

We only get James Malloney who's almost as interesting as going into a coma for 3 weeks (as are his books). Actually, I take that back. A coma's probably very interesting... We got Archie Fusillo and I saw him at the Writer's Festival in 2002 too. He was awesome... Cat

im not a big fan of sydney, its too smoggy and stuff. sounds strange since i was considering moving to melbourne on the weekend. but only cos houses around the mornington peninsula are so damn cheap. its like half the price of houses up here.
but i love canberra. if i had to live in town, it would be in canberra

Lauren, have you ever been to Hobart!? Its beautiful and cold My dad used to live there, so I must have spent about 3 or 4 months there, and I have been on the Spirit of Tasmania 4 times. And Hobart is such an old city so all of the housed are really pretty.

Hobart is great for a short visit but I lived there and its a hole for some reason they only pay like 70% as much on there award as the rest of Australia which is rough.

Brisbane is...Brisbane I liked Sydney better in some respects...but driving there was a nightmare!! Even with a street directory it takes 2 hours to get anywhere. There are far too many people in the world and a lot of them have decided to set up home in Syd. Other than that though, Sydney was awesome.

Aww, it seems like many of you have met Carmody. I'm envious. I don't suppose there's a chance of her touring the UK any time soon? Writing to her is the only thing I can think of doing, apart from I don't know any address. Is there a official fanmail address that I can write to? Last year I wrote to Tamora Pierce and got a reply, but that was via the email. I'd love to receive a handwritten reply. *wistful*

I love Canberra.
I'm not a big city girl. But nor am I a country girl.
That's why Canberra suits me down to the ground!
