OMG!!!! I had the best idea one day.. I heard they made the movie "The Polar Express" in 4 weeks.... 3D animation is so cheap these days, infact, im learning how to use the tools they used to make a lot of the special effects in the matrix and Lord of teh Rings =)
All i need is a computer that is actually fast enough and maybe some motion capture equipment... and maybe even a high res camera for modelling people.... so much...
Oh yeah, i also need time, and experience... phht... my idea squashed already...
bye!!

Maybe you could put it into your 20 year plan. Or when you win the lottery...

dont do it as a movie, or even a series of movies based on each of the books, youll have to leave too much out, unless you do it as the books in each book. but its an awesome idea. yeah put it into your 40 year plan, i like the sound of that.

Hey Duck, I'm currently learning 3Ds Max and Inventor. I think they made Shrek with 3dmax? You would need a LAB of computers to render that amount of information... But count me in on it

Well, i have always been told that Maya is THE best program for doing stuff like that... Pixar uses it and movies like LOTR,The Matrix and Final Fantasy were made using it.... Plus, i have it, and it actually runs on my computer and i can also use all the computers in my house together to render stuff in it =) I call it "PC" for Personal Cluster I really should actually sit down and learn how to use it properly first though... Then we would need stuff like Motion Capture Equipment... Meh... Duck

How did you get it? 3Ds Max does just as good a job too and is (ehem!) only $8000 per seat. plus my company sells it
