I know we kinda agreed kayt would write the sneding
but i thought it'd be great if we made it a writing comp
not the whole book but maybe a beginning
that and a comp for covers and other sneding related things
i'm sure more computer lterate people will be able to do it
its just an idea

Wow - I was thinking of something along the same lines, Omega! It sounds like a great idea. I do like competitions where both arty and writey people have a chance to shine. I shall talk to the other tekkies about it and see what we can do.

Perhaps we can have some sort of itty bitty festival. Not on the scale of Moonfair, of course
But seeing as it's school holidays, maybe we could get everyone working on The Sneding.
And to launch it, or to end it, I could release my Musical Extravaganza version of The Sneding.
What do ya'll think?

Very awesome idea! I like it a lot!
Seeing as it's the holidays, I was also planning to get back on track with the Obernewtyn Screenplay and hopefully have everyone finish their scenes by the end of January, which is when school starts again...I was actually going to go and get the people who wanted to be involved to start writing - but I don't want it to clash with this itty bitty festival, and it seems that you've got a lot to do, Kayt, with NaNoWriMo AND the Sneding, so what would you like me to do about that?
Anyway, I'll be off. Wandies Rule! So does Mr Darcy!

We could announce "THE LAUNCH OF THE SNEDING HAS ARRIVED!" on the main website and see how many people we confuse. Seriously, though, it looks like The Sending Sneding launch will involve: - Kayt's version of The
Sending Sneding - The Obernewtyn screenplay
- The
Sending Sneding cover competition - A writing competition: "Write the first page of The
Sending Sneding"
Does this meet with everyone's approval? Do we need more or less things? We could probably run it on ProBoards and just switch the Moonfair board over for The Sending Sneding board.

I just had an idea for the writing competition. Does anyone remember that game you used to play, where you wrote one sentence of a story, then someone else wrote the next WITHOUT SEEING THE ONE YOU WROTE!!
Anyway, my idea is thus - people sign up to take part in the writing competition and they are randomly assigned a page each. So, if there are sixteen people, then The Sending Sneding will have sixteen pages. Each person writes their page without the faintest idea of what the person before has written and then we put it all together.
I suppose people could still vote on their favourite page, if we wanted to keep the competition theme happening. At the end, we could put the pages together with the winning Sneding cover and have our own, online version of The Sending Sneding!!
Sound any good?

We'd probably arrange for people to finish their sentences at the end of each page. For instance, there might a word limit of about two hundred words or something - but you can finish your last sentence. Otherwise, people would be waiting for the person in front of them to finish and we might end up getting The Sending before we get The Sending Sneding. I realise there's a sort of conflict with Kayt's version of The Sneding, but as hers is a musical spectacular, I think we'll be OK.

yes i think that will work buneater! have a limit of 300 words for everyone, and the next person is given the last sentence. if we keep the charcters to those in the book then there shouldnt be to much confusion or anythin and it should b fun! i think everyone too would be able to make up one minor character for their section?! if need be?! maybe then make it a limit of 500 words :S cos 300 isnt much if ur an avid writer
but i like it alot!

Yay!!! I love this idea, I only wish I could take part!
Unfortunately, my priority is now the Musical Extravaganza. And don't worry, the way this is going at the moment, nothing you ever write could possibly be as bizzare!!! I don't know WHAT I was thinking yesterday!

Yay! It all sounds awesome to me guys! I would love to be in the comp and write a page of the Sending Sneding!
Or, if ewe really need board members, I would be happy to contribute my elite judging skills (i've had practise from the moonfair!)
And in case you're wondering who I really am....
It's Ashta!

I like the new page idea! I've done a fair few of them, it works best if you get to see the last sentence. Although, when we do it with only small amounts of writng each, we only get to see the bottom line, so sometimes you only get a couple of words.
