Hey all, this is yet another instance where Lauren's using you all as tentacles throughout the world to help her look for stuff she can't find easily  My fav band in the universe is Lighthouse Family (they had that awesome #1 song "High" in 1998, plus heaps of other great ones that never quite reached #1, for some reason) and I recently realised that I couldn't think of any other band/music like them. So can anyone help out? They've got a mellow sort of style about them...like really really good quality white noise... Cheerio, Lauren  |

What really peeves me is that they've put out an even better song more recently - 2000 I think it was...? - called "Free/One" and it's based on that old U2 song called One...anyway, it's one of THE BEST songs in the universe, and I've never heard it played on the radio in Australia. Not once. Never. My friend said she saw the film clip once or twice, but it's such and awesome song, I can't believe it didn't hit even the Top 40! Anyway. That High song is so wonderful. It really was everywhere when it was #1, wasn't it? I've been put in a good mood again now just thinking of it Lauren |

i really like them too..and particularly for that song! it was tops! but i did think it was over played...anyway pete murray is wat i find similar...prob cos its guitar and just easy to listen too... tho i no it is quiet different. and his stuff is a bit repetitive...but meh... *thinks* actually thats prob not a really good comparison at all... but i guess my style for a mello/chill session is muse, pete murry and radiohead
