ok so im a little peeved off cos mum got me up at 530 this morning to do the house sweepsteak...then she wanted me to chose my horse...she got all angry when i just rolled my eyes nad went to bed....so now want im interested in knowin is - whos going for who?! wat are ppl doing for melbourne cup?! anythin exciting?! and who should i go for!  help!

i have no idea  if i was betting, i would chose the horse with the name i liked the best. my dad is picking a horse for me from his work's sweepstakes thing. go the cool names!!! |

 I love Melbourne Cup! I went into the Crown Casino this morning for breakfast as not only is it the Melbourne Cup but it's my mums b'day as well. So we placed our bets and had a go on the pokies and I won hehe i came out $5 in front... Not that i'm reccommending gambling.. it's bad!!! For the cup i picked a few things like trifectas and so on, but the main horses i have are Grey Song, Hugs Dancer, Makybe Diva and Elvstroem... But i'm wishing i had of put something on Vinne Roe and Media puzzle, they do good in the wet and it's raining now... Oh well, hopefully someone I know will win and that will make me happy Anyway, i must get back to watching the races (not to mention I have an exam on thursday which i should be studying for)... Well, I'm just studying for exams today.. *sigh* Was just about to go down to the TAB to place my bets, but then it started raining, damnit! Prolly going to put money on Elvstroem, Hugs Dancer, and Pacific Dancer. Hmm.. you make a good point about Vinnie Roe tho, Emerald... Although Media Puzzle doesn't actually appear to have a great record in the wet... well, according to the form guide. And I did only just figure out how to read the damn thing properly, so I may be wrong.. |

mummify, media puzzel and grey song have bin around for a few yrs havent they?! hmmmf i really havent looked at it much this yr! and im all by my lonesome self:( *sigh* anyway i placed a bet on catchmeifyoucan cos i liked the name...tho im thinking another warrior sounds like my horse...vinnie roe will be good...he runs well most times too.

ohh i thought i heard somewhere about media puzzle, must have been something else... thats good though, one less horse to worry about.. i picked another warrior as a fun bet cause i liked his name and colours |

Its always the week after melb. next wednesday. Some of the melb competitors come up to us, along with some New Zealand horses and various others. We're looking forward to it...but I still need shoes |

I'm wearing a light green dress, that looks like a fair dress or something. It's got a pixie cut bottom. I got it from the kids section in myer  And the races start about 10 i think, but the actual Bendigo Cup race is usually about 3. We usually arrive really early to stake out our fave spot. We've had it for 4 years now. If we get it again his year, it'll be 5 |

Damnit! I bet on the horses that came 4th and 5th! Oh well, at least I'm getting better at it than last year, where I think I tipped both Makybe Diva and whatever horse came dead LAST. |

I love Melbourne Cup!
whoever designs the jockey's silks has no taste at all but Pip and I checked out the form last night so I had some idea who was running and what names I liked best. Then Dad msged me this morning and was like "what horses do you want to put money on? You can have $10" So YAY!!! I was sitting there in my Concom lecture trying to remember the names of horses from last night. Couldn't remember Vinny Roe's name. I was sitting there for fully 10 minutes trying and all I could remember was that he was Irish, and Pip said he was good.
