well! how did we all get into the guild we're in? did we chose it - if so, y? or was it just a random selection? are u happy wit ur choise/wat u got? or u think ur more suited else where? and most curiously - wat do ppl think their guild is about?
i no i jsut joined cos i thought u had to be a member to post nad i wanted to ask a question bout the sending!!!!! (part of me finding the site too) ...i must say its probably the best suited for me...tho i was thinkin i could have easily been a wadie too!!!!! very very easily!
i guess i feel the mystics are the scientist almost..love jsut sittin round playin in their den by drinkin choco and looking for crystals... but wat are other ppls opinions?
i find the ashlings very active - as in they are alwasy there and ver involved (esp in the running of things)...same with the dreamweavers. the wadies are a very close knit group. but i guess this is from when i first started up! i no its alittle hard to see whose who on the new boards

Even though I've been a member of Ober.net since 2000, I've only been a member of a guild for a year. Last year, part of organising the SR aspect of the Moonfair involved visiting all the guild messageboards and leaving info and reminders about all the SR events. It gave me a little insight into what the guilds got up to and what they were like. I found myself spending a lot of time on the Ashlings' messageboard, reading the posts and even making a few. Eventually I decided I liked the guild so much that I actually wanted to join it. So I did. I think the Ashlings are the organisers (especially Lauren) and we provide a little SR-ishness when it's required, too.

Well, i chose my guild because my friends were in it I looked through all the others though, and on first sight i really liked the Dreamweavers...i thought their name was pretty, and it sounded all magical Yep, i'm happy with my guild choice...i really like being a DW..I've never actually thought about being in another guild i'm not sure if i'd be suited anywhere else.

Yay Dreamweavers! We have a pretty name ;D. I chose Dreamweavers because dreaming is one of my favourite things to do, so it seemed like the natural place for me to be. I love it! Us dreamweavers are good people.

I just clicked the little "I don't mind, allocate me' box (or similar...) I don't actually find there to be much difference between the guilds. Most of the time I don't even know who's in what guild... The only difference I've seen is that in the Battle Arena, we use the fact that we're 'Dreamweavers' a lot more. We sit there going 'Creates a magic dream that only dreamweavers can enter' whereas the other guilds don't really have that ability. Wanderers can't really sit there and go 'All the wanderers, errr, wander. And they wander so far that no one can follow them, cause no one else is as good at wandering... *pause* Ahem. Yeah....' It would be pretty funny though... But the name dreamweavers means we have a lot of potential for making all those weird and wonderful things we can do in the battle arena. (Which must be an absolutely HUGE arena... ) Cat

I joined during the period when the Wandies were dwindling. I picked "Don't Care" or whatever it was for my Guild, and so I got Wandied!
It was well chosen and certainly the Guild for me, although I think I probably would have made a good Ashling, because I have Volunteering Disease.
I love my Wandies dearly but we are a Wandering bunch. Large tracts of our members dissapear for months at a time, and that can be frustrating, especially when Moonfairying!!! I think Wanderers are the non-conformists and the solitary types. I think our basically philosophy is rather gypsyish, taking care of ourselves and wandering free. We're a bit lonerish really, and we're very close, because I think many of us are/were quite isolated as kids, and we identify with each other.

I think I chose Ashlings when I joined back in 2001, cause at that stage Lu was the GM of Ashlings and was working so hard in the Guild comp, without a lot of help. So I thought I'd join and be an active Ashling and enter lots of comps for the next Guild comp.. Then somehow I ended up as a Guilden..

haha kayt, funny you should say that.
my mum has this astrology program, and in a 'detailed' description of me it said i tend to be a loner... i kinda prefer being by myself than with others... lol dont think im a weird hermit though! im not... really...
I was randomly put into the wandies, and i think it suits me very well. Wouldnt have it any other way! all the wandies are a great bunch!

Well I chose the Dreamweavers (Way back in like 2000, I think) because
a) it had a cool name b) I wanted to contribute c) because it had potential for such a cool talent (Which we've been discussing of late and demonstrating in the Battle Arena)
I think over the past moonfair the Dreamweaver's have really come together. We may not be as active or as big as the other guilds, but we love our stuff and we all get along tops!
Quite frankly, I teetered on joining the mystics for a while because their site had REALLY cool graphics (go Min), but I felt that because I love dreams that I should amble over to the Dreamweavers and here I am and as happy as Larry.
Larry: And I'm REALLY happy
Huzzah for Dreamweavers!

I put 'no preference' but i sorta new i'd be put in the Wanderers, coz they didn't have as many poeple as the guilds. And wanderers are cool ;D I also came around the time the AoC was being formed and i decided that i opposed it, so i couldn't really join the DW or the Ashlings after that... there are lots of strange fights with me and Duria in the archives of the old theories board....

I picked Ashlings, because I felt like it. And I liked the name. AND IT WAS A GOOD CHOICE, TOO! And then I set up the AoC site. Which I've kinda neglected...
