And I agree about Germaine Greer. I mean, we all thought Steve Irwin was an idiot - surely no one thought he was their idol or anything. But that doesn't mean he deserved to die... He was still a good bloke etc (like what you guys have all said already).

By the way, did anyone actually meet him in person? (just wondering)

I didn't, but the funny thing is that they (Steve Irwin and Peter Brock) died doing what they do best, as well as dying while doing a T.V. show. Maybe we should be really careful while getting our 15 minutes fame...

I neva thought he waz silly..........i cried wen i heard on the news, and im on the verge now just reading these posts, coz i grew up with him and watched him wen i could.........itz so sad :-'( i neva thought he'd die...tho not many can keep going foreva
