so you do all know that WA is actually an hour ahead of the fantabulous time zone bar addition. but then I am famously pedantic Its hypnotic watching all the numbers tick over!

How come all of them show the same minutes apart from SA & NT?

Because it's a half-hour time zone.
The east coast (except in daylight savings, cause QLD doesn't have it) are all at the same time, then half an hour behind them is Central Aus and then an hour and a half behind them (so 2 hours behind the east coast) is WA, which is the west coast.
Asutralia is one of the few places with a half hour time zone, most places have full hours. There are a couple of places in the world with quarter time zones, i think. Or maybe it's just one... Maybe it was three quarters...

I must say it good but an hour out. It 9:20 on my computers clock and radio clock yet it saids 8:20 on the display of the boards. It would be cool to have it calculate of your desktops time. I just noticed that proboards is an hour ahead

Yeah, there's the problem. I haven't ever really looked at it properly before. it's got the right time difference between SA/NT and WA, but the wrong between East coast and SA/NT. It's an hour out there and it's pushing WA back as well.

Has anyone PMed Min?

I'm sure Min will be fully aware of it the next time she happens to come online, and will get on to fixing it whenever she has the time, or can be bothered. No need to bombard her with posts and messages. The post in the Suggestions thread in the HELP! forum is plenty.

Cool. I asked if someone already had PMed her just to make sure that if I did it she didn't get a million PMs about it. Cat

I'll get it fixed when I have time. I just went to this web site that had all the time zones in + and - ...as soon as I saw the Brissy one was wrong, I figured the others might be out an hour or so, but knew someone would let us know what the actual times are.
Also, if our americans want to add which time zone they are in, do PM me about that - I have no idea how americans display their times, or which zones our members are in.
It doesn't take it from your PC's clock, but I believe it's based it on mine...? It's correct to the second here. Perhaps the code just uses that as a marker to start at.

Lauren, I reckon we can fix whatever's going on on your machine, but I'll need some system details. I'll PM you with what I need though, rather than clutter up the threads.
