You heard me, the Ongoing Guild Competition for this Extended Year has finished!
There are just one last set of points to be added to the total and then, all will be announced.
Who will take the Trophy?
Which Guild Reigns, for the moment, Supreme?
Is it the Dreamweavers? They showed us all they were capable when they came out of the woodwork and came 2nd in the 2004 Moonfair? Have they been secretly scurrying about entering competitions, making pages and working on projects?
Will it be the Wanderers? Will they retain their lead? They overran the 8th Writing Competition but lost it all in the 2004 Moonfair. And even after the Ninth Writing Comp, they're neck and neck with the Mystics.......
Ah... the Mystics?. They SMASHED the seven hundred point lead held by the Wanderers with one single sweep of the Moonfair. Can they win the Guild Competition Trophy (held since 2001) asecond time? Can they close that every decreasing gap between their current second place and the first?
Or will the Ashlings and the Antelopes take them all by surprise? They're only a hundred or two points from the lead.... a few timely recruitments, a few quizzes or cunning fanfiction... it's all it could take to cause an upset!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN THE FINAL POINTS ARE COUNTED?
You've been warned......

We've recorded everything we've got. If there is anything that you haven't recieved points for then by all means resend them and you can have those points for the next round.

*The people of Obernet are assembled in the Members Room, listening to Clare's announcement. But outside, they begin to hear a vicious snarling and snapping.*
*Then, a voice wafts into the room.*
Kayt: NO!!! BAD!!! REX!!! ROVER!!! NO! You can't eat those Mystics! Spot! Put that Dreamweaver down!!! SPOT!!!
*Three vicious dual-flush toilets rush snarling into the room and begin to attack Mystics, Ashling and Dreamweavers. Kayt is frantically chasing them down and trying to clip leashes on*
Mystic: ARGH! ARGH!!! HELP! HELP!!!
Kayt: Sorry! They get all competitive about Moonfair time! Rover! BAD TOILET!!!
*Rilla corners Spot by the piano and he sits cowering, knowing he is going to get a smack*
Rilla: Bad boy, Spot! Naughty Spot!
*She clips on his leash*
*Brydie and Brownie chase Rover around the room, and manage to pick him up and hold him. They carry him out of the room and he snaps at an Ashling as they pass*
*Innle, Kayt and Teacup manage to hold onto Rex between them but it isn't easy. They clip on the lead and drag him from the room*
Rex: BARK BARK!!!
Mystics: Oh no! We better forfeit the competition! Then those toilets will calm down and leave us alone!
Dreamweavers: *cower behind piano* Good idea!
Ashlings: Guess those Wandies are too good for us. Let's forfeit!
Mystics: Yes! And let's bake them cookies.
Dreamweavers: And give them lots of presents!
Ashlings: Yes! For they are so brilliant!
*Then Kayt wakes up and realises the Wandies have lost the cup after all.*
Kayt: Oh! Woe is me!!! We have lost the Points Tally!
Spot: Whine whine...
*And so, Kayt was sad, and had only her faithful dual-flush toilet and the other Wandies to comfort her*
*But she was so sad that she took away everyone's elephant privliges to punish them for losing*
*And then they had to haul her away and put her into the Obernet psychiatric ward with Maruman*
*And there was much rejoicing*
*Except that Rushton was sad, because now he had to shovel his own driveway clear of snow*
TRANSLATION: Clare? WHO WON?

Awwww... it was only a dream. You know Spot, Rex and Rover would never harm anyone. And nor would any of our other toilets.
Besides, they would never turn on a Wandie.
Can't guarantee the safety of the rest of you though.

But seriously, I haven't done finished counting yet. Plus, there's this really annoying assignment about toilets that I have to do. AND I have to sned the Trophies into the Trophy Shop to have them engraved.
Yes, an assignment about toilets. I'm not joking.

All of Ober Net is gathered. All food throwing has ceased as people babble in excitement. The time draws near. The 2001-2005 Ongoing Guild Competition was closed. Who would win the big Gold Trophy?
Miska: Who do you think will win?
Elixa: Mystics!
Cat-Eyes: I don't know. But if the Dreamweavers win this round, Clare promises me modship.
Timm: I vote for Ashlings but the real question is who will be eliminated?
Rilla: Nobody gets eliminated. It's Guild Comp!
(Timm looks disappointed and starts making plans for a new game)
A great hush falls over the auditorium as the Obernet webtekkies walk on stage. They are in full regalia - the robes of HTML, the sceptre of Symbolic Lists, the Brushed Hair of a momentary lapse into dignity. Even the Hats of Authorities gleam from a frantic buff moments before.
Min, Buneater, Clare and Avra: Friends of The Official Unofficial Obernewtyn Fan Club - we salute you!
Buneater: Well, that's enough officialness for today I should think.
Clare: Very much so. You have no idea how much these robes itch.
Avra: Well I think the Hat is very becoming.

Justine: OH MY! WE WON!
Kayt: Indeedy! On behalf of the Wanderers guild and our wandering Guildmistress, we hereby accept this trophy.
Talisha, Talmina and all the other Wanderers crowd onto the stage
Kayt: NO! Don't touch it! I don't want your timtammy fingers hands all over it!
