Seeing as you all seem to be sci-fi buffs, i thought it'd be nice to find out what series's you're all into (assuming you get all of those over there)

I just love Stargate and all was have (since the movie). BSG got me for a bit but now I have music prac till 9.30 and don't get back till 10.00 and all I feel like is sleep. Hoora they fixed the time line, and there are fish in Jacks pond. LOL

The closest I get to liking a sci-fi show is Futurama... I can't really get into the others. They're all too full of drama and have little to nothing to do with actual space or science...though I can't comment on Red Dwarf or Andromeda, I haven't seen either.

...I can't comment on Red Dwarf or Andromeda, I haven't seen either. I can't believe you've never seen Red Dwarf, Min! You must try and catch it some time - I think it'd really appeal to you.  |

Red Dwarf is an absolute classic! Everyone must watch it (though the later series' have gone downhill a bit).
So who voted for Farscape? It's nice to see that one of you is a fan! ;D
So has Andromeda actually been broadcast in Australia?

Yes, we've had Andromeda. I quite like Farscape too, but Red Dwarf is very hard to beat. ;D

I voted for farscape.  I like most of them, btu I love farscape and it had no votes, so I had to vote. Plus, we jsut got The Peacekeeper War, here in Aus on pay tv. Made me miss it all over again. I really must buy the dvds And Andromeda has only been aired on pay tv (cable) here. |

The Peacekeepers wars were superb! It looks like they may be making a movie at some point 2!
For shear entertainment value and gripping stories, Farscape has to be the best Sci-Fi show out there!
Red Dwarf is defenitely tops for fun and laughs. I tend to go around quoting lines from the show. A lot of my friends think i'm mad! ;D
Andromeda isn't the best series, but its entertaining.
I still haven't got round to watching Firefly yet, but if its as good as the Buffy/Angel series' then it sounds like im missing out!

I'd lvoe to see Firefly. I'm a huge Whedon fan, adn given that I love sci/fi, I'm sure it can't go wrong. But I havent' been able to see it yet.

Well, let's see:
Andromeda - only ever seen the ads for it when I've been at Grandma's. No idea.
Red Dwarf - I believe I once saw almost an entire episode. When it was last properly aired on free-to-air, I was too young to stay up that late and I don't think I would have completely gotten it...
Stargate - I've liked the one or two episodes I've seen over the years. But I used to have scouts on Thursdays so could never watch it.
Firefly - Huh? Never heard of it
Star Trek - I'm quite partial to Voyager myself, having seen every episode thanks to the local video store and a few years... Never really seen any of the other series...
Farscape - i liked this when it was on. After a while though it got to moved to some stupid hour and I never really saw it again...
BSG - V good, and it's on at a resonable time, I'm old enough to know what it is, and it's awesome. Looks like this gets my vote...

Oh good, it's nice to know there are other Firefly fans around.
In my opinion Firefly is as good as, if not better than Buffy.

Well,I liked cybergirl.....but I think they took it off TV.
*sigh* I'm not a real sci-fi fan,but I do like star wars.My dad is a Star Trek die - hard fan.

I haven't seen most of them  But stargate is the only one that can boast gorgeous nerdy guy wearing nothing but a flag in one episode... So stargate kicks arseness ^_^ What genre would buffy fall under?? |
