its more along hte lines of min's work - ie cleaning up lots of code (making it possible to have less code and stuff)... so it will jsut be easier to keep running  but one of the others mite explain more im really hopeless at understanding most of it

Ah, there are so many features coming with this upgrade, it's hard to resent the time it'll take to implement them! Some of ones I can remember off the top of my head involve a couple of extra items going into the box down the bottom of the boards, such as members' birthdays and a funky little thing that tells you the largest amount of users we've had online and when that was. Hmmm... what else? There's an option not to view sigs and/or avatars, which might save loading time for those on dial-up. There'll be an "instant response" box down the bottom of each thread, so you won't have to go to a new page to add a reply (such as the one you can see on Carmody-Online's message-boards). A lot of the other stuff is admin stuff, which will make things much easier for Min and Avvy. And, don't quote me, but I think there may be one or two extra ranks returning. |

I think it would be good for Obernewtyn to be upgraded,though I will miss posrting stupid things that make no sense.
Though,at least everything will be schmiker. ;D
