I'm sorry, but the chat thing doesn't work for me, i have to go download something to think is... *tries to look innocent* so that was my problem i didn't forget at all....... :S

It's Java Runtime Environment. You'll need to download it: java.com/en/download/index.jspFunny thing is, I thought OS's prompted for installs like that these days. What operating system are you running? |

*failed geek* um.... I'm on XP? using firefox. Normally i do get a prompt and then have to fight with firefox to get me to allow it to download (okay, not really fight, just click a few extra buttons) and then nortons has to jump in and wave a flag because if it doesn't he feels left out. it's cool, i can usually fuss these things out, i knew i had to download something, i just had to find it. But i'm doing it now, so thanks! you found it for me, have a picnic basket!

A lot of people can't actually log into the chat. Not sure what's going on, but it most definitely won't work for me at the moment. This could be why there are lots of people online but not in the chat.  |

and it lets me in for a bit, but then freezes my computer, so I have to force close Firefox and restart - most annoying!

You need Java runtime environment. Flit had a similar problem last time, but downloading / updating java will fix it. A little further up the page. The chat would be good if I could ever remember to go...weekends are not good for me, life gets in the road but I like the idea of the chat room as opposed to MSN - if I log onto MSN, I get absolutely no work done, with old friends from school wanting to catch up and the like. At least in a chat room you're talking to everyone at the one place. So please just try the java update. I'll work on FF, I swear. |
