OK, a few months ago we had the Musical Point game, where you submitted your own artists and groups, and did the whole points game thing. It's time to do it again! ;D ANYONE is free to submit a musical artist or group, just reply with their name and a picture (use Google or something) and then when I have 16, we can begin with the points part. The only rules are that you can't submit more than 2 acts, and you can't submit any of the 17 which were used last time, I'll tell you if you do. Start getting them in  These are the 17 acts, and who submitted them: Alanis Morissette (Timm) Billy Idol (Avra) Franz Ferdinand (Maeve) Jimi Hendrix (Maeve) Howie Day (Avra) Little Birdy (Timm) The Monkees (Kayt) Steeleye Span (Morag) Matchbox 20 (Morag) Blink 182 (Lauren) George (Flit) Ben Lee (Emerald) Cat Empire (Galli) Powderfinger (Flit) Sigur Ros (Galli) Jet (Unykorn) Michelle Branch (Timm) Each of these acts will be given 5 points (go to page 2), and you can then reply, by copying and pasting the acts, and taking one point from one act, and adding to another. When one act has no points left, they are eliminated. The last act remaining, wins! You may only post FIVE times a day, and you can't post twice in a row! The 'day' is taken from the date and time on this forum. Older band, do a lot of old songs remixed kinda folky music, they're pretty good.

I know they're a tad too commercial to be classified as 'trendy' anymore but who friggin cares when they have great albums like their first self-titled one? So my nomination will be: The Cat Empire [yes Flit, go the Aussie bands!] ...and not just because the hot trumpet player teaches trumpet at my old high school. Shudup!  |

he does?? DAMN my trumpet teacher wasn't hot at all... for the three months i picked up the trumpet that is.....

Yupyup, although apparently he's the less attractive one who's part of "The Empire Horns" so he's usually the one in the background, not Harry [who also sings]. But he's in the Cat Empire! And we were an all girl's school with absolutely no pretty boys around so therefore he was classified as HAWT! Hoho, that's right! He's too sexy for spelling! ...that and we were sad sad little girls. My friend actually pressed her face up against the window as he walked by our classroom and then proceeded to run out of the class and chase him to the music building. Anyway, Let's give a big Sigur YES to our next candidate SIGUR ROS!  Yesyes, I know everyone's going to vote them out on the basis that they have no idea who they are, but really if you don't,then shame on you! They're seriously fantastical! And who doesn't love the Icelandic? They've produced so many fine famous figures like Bjork and...er...Leif Erikson...and his father Erik the Red, two fine upstanding Vikings...okay, okay, I suck. |

i really didn't want to risk it because i was sure no one would know of them but you probably just encountered the only other Icelandic music fanatic who isn't icelandic Sigur ros are wonderful! i've seen them live and everything

plus i'm going to iceland hopefully in the next month. i love the music there!

Just to keep the Aussie bands going (i think it's one more submission after this one, and that'll be the total)
Powderfinger! Love these guys, only problem is, now they are so old it's a problem, i grew up with their music, and i saw them live the other day, and i nearly fell over how old they looked... anyway, they're music is still brilliant ;D so they can go up ;D
