I think I'll just be buying it at Sydney airport when we get back off the boat and reading it on the flight home.

I'll be joining in the bunfight at the local bookstore to get my copy.
I once made the mistake of telling some of my classmates that I enjoyed reading the dictionary in about year 4 (sadly this fact is true, along with encyclopedias) They never let me forget it.

I read the dictionary and enjoyed it. It is quite interesting, and the upside is that you get to join in with the adult conversations.

The dictionary can be quite educational. I used to like to open it a random page and see how many words I didn't know. But it does get a little predictable after a while. As for HP6, my Timothy pre-ordered a copy ages ago when Dymocks or Collins was offering it for a reduced price. But if people out there haven't pre-ordered, never fear - you can usually walk straight into Myer or Kmart and pick up a copy at a very good price without having to fight your way through all the queues of people who've pre-ordered and are waiting to get into the book store and pick up their copy.

Does anyone know who much it is without getting it on'special'? I pre-ordered mine moths and months ago at Angus and Robertson.. I don't mind paying whatever for it, I was just curious. I've ordered it on Amazon for the American copy (i get both) and it's only $30 postage and handling from America, with delivery between 11-16 days of release. Lol I got excited when I read that!

Usually the cheapest places are Kmart and Target, they offer reduced prices of 35% on their books stock most of the time, i mean, it's different with HP, but it should still be cheaper. I preordered my last on from Clints, and got it for $25, i was going to do the same thing this time, but Clints closed down on my side of town, and the nearest one is an hours bus ride away. So i think i shall simply try my luck in Kmart. Worse comes to worse, i'll pay the extra amount at a bookstore... but i don't think i'll have a problem at all... as long as i'm there earlier. The Kmart my side sold out of copies early the last time. So maybe i won't be so lucky, but hey, i'll get it eventually. ;D sooooo close now ;D ;D

Oh I'm sure you'll be fine if you get there early!! I had a friend who went to get the book the next day or in the after noon of the release without having pre ordered and they were alll sold out! :S
I remember waiting in line at Angus and Robertson for HP5 and seeing people walking past on their way home.. having bought it from Target. I should have thought of that!

I remember waiting in line at Angus and Robertson for HP5 and seeing people walking past on their way home.. having bought it from Target. Hehe - if you'd been at Knox City Shopping Centre, my Timothy would have been one of those people walking past. He went to Myer there and got one of the first ones out of the box. As he was walking back, he stopped at the queues and told people to go to Myer, but they'd probably pre-ordered, so they couldn't really.

Big-W!! Big-W people!!! Ok, so I'm promoting my work, but still. We will be selling it cheaper than K-Mart, I can garantee. ;D
I've had mine on order with Angus and Robinson since March, but I probably won't be buying it there. The way I figure, if by some weird twist of fate I miss out at Big-W, then I know I have a copy on hold. But yeah, I'm gonna be one of those crazy people who que up outside the store before it opens ;D
Hmmm, for some reason, I don't like the cover either. Dunno why, but I just don't. The adult one looks cool though. And as usual, the American one sucks in my opinion. Don't know what it is, but I have never liked any American cover art. I always go for the UK version.

Just so you know ( I hope I'm not repeating anyone), if you order it from Dymocks it's only $29.95 and the RR price is $45 (i think)... And, you get this cool little booklet thingy, which gives you five dollars off the next (children's ) book you buy from there. I'm soooo excited!!! *Cartwheels across the room and back* Well, I would if I could anyway... Last year, my mum had to get it for me (It wasn't like I didn't want to! ) and she got the adult's version, coz she thought it was cooler. I guess it does look cooler, but I sorta made her get me the children's copy just so it would match my others... I know it was mean! ;D

I've been freaking out about the next book for days now. Im sure my friends think I'm mad, because I keep going on about theories and rumours Has anyone had a visit to MuggleNet lately? It has a few rumours that J.K confirmed. And the Wall of Shame is rather funny too.... ....squeeeeeee!! Only a few days left!! *camps outside Angus and Robertson*
