i think it should be an unknown actress. That way the story can be told properly and people will notice it more

Yeah, I agree, it should be an unknown actress...
But should there at least be a well known actor for one of the older guys? (like Ian Mckellen as Louis Larkin?)

Laura Fraser looks too old... not to be narki, or anything, but Elf in my head, is closer to a teenager than a 30-year-old.....
You don't want the actor to be a complete unknown, otherwise you have no way of knowing how their skill is...... I mean, Hayden Christianson.....? Mark Hamill? Unknowns are dangerous areas, you never know what you're going to get... better to stick with people you know can act.

Natalie Portman might have been good as Elspeth if she was 15 years younger...
I'm sure we could chuck Hugo Weaving into the cast there somewhere.... maybe he would make a better Larkin...

And they both are too plastic to play Elspeth.
I dont think I wanna think about it.

I DONT WANT AN OBERNEWTYN MOVIE!!!!!!
(But just in case there is,none of the abouve must be even thought about to be in the cast)
I dont think anybody would be the perfect Elspeth because Elspeth is perfect the way she is,IN A BOOK!!!!

I had a mental shutdown in the middle of creating the poll, so some of my choices are abit ill informed I think.
If there was an Obernewtyn movie, you wouldn't have to actually go and see it if you didn't want to...

I'd be very wary of an Obernewtyn movie, too, but I think I'd have to go and see it regardless. However,it's fascinating to see how everyone perceives Elspeth (and all the other characters, too). There are so many different versions of her in everyone's heads that it would be impossible to get any one actress to satisfy everybody. |
