Yeah, but year 7 is easy. For me, coming from a good primary school, year 7, especially in maths, was a repeat of grade 4.
Every year though we seem to get EVEN shorter year 7s! I mean, no one in my year level was that short!

First day of year 7 was scarey... But at least I knew some people. A lot of other people weren't so lucky. I go to a selective high school (Hurlstone), so people come from all NSW (since there are boarders as well as day students). Poor boarders... On their first day of high school they're not only putting up with high school but living away from home.
Year 9 is good. Electives. Yay! No woodwork! No metalwork! More Japanese! I wish I could drop Agriculture... I only barely survived it today.

And with you being smart, use it to outsmart anyone who annoys you That's what i did They won't be able to figure out whether you've just insulted them or not ;D

Just to recap, they're not actual twins. I just have two of them and since the program is called 'Big Sister - Little Sister' we call them twins.

To Gruggy Grunky Cranky Chicken: i am 12 (turning 13 in August) and i live in Greystanes, Sydney. To Nic: ;)Hurlstone..... i put Hurlstone as my 2nd selective choice..... my mum put it in 'cos it's easy to go there 'cos it's near the station. But i didn't like it as i'd have to go through stops like Cabramatta and they aren't all nice people living there.....lots of drug addicts. oh, is it true that Mark Latham use to go to Hurlstone?

I'm 16 this year too! L PLATES!!!!
KaylanR, just incase you don't know, in places that aren't Queensland our first year of high school is year 7 and we're the same age as you are in year 8. So, if you were in Victoria like I am, you'd be in year 8 because you're in year 9 up there. (Well, that's by age. If you moved down here it would depend on your level as to where they put you, because if you've already done everything they do down here in year 8 they'd put you in year 9, but it all depends)

i hate crampped busses. I take trains and busses to and from school, and when there's MILLIONS of people on them, it sucks. Especially when it's hot. If it's a new new train it's ok, but the old hilside ones SUCK.

We don't even have trains!
Don't need them, you can cross the city on a bus in about an hour.

Wow. I don't think I'd EVER take a bus from here to the city. It'd take HOURS. I mean, by train it takes 15minutes to get from my train station to the train station near my school. By bus that's like an hour... I mean, it doesn't help that bus routes seem to want to go from here to there via Russia, but you know. And I thought the train trip from where I live to the city took a long time... imagine the bus! I spose Canberra is a lot smaller (and circular, what's with that? If you want to go right you turn left and you get there, but if you turn right you'll end up in Tasmania! ) but still... WOW! Cat
