Well, mosts chemists have ear-piercing services. Although I'm probably not the world's greatest expert on ear-piercing, being completely un-pierced myself. I just wanted to appreciate your avatar. 'Tis very cute.

Ok. How do chemists do it? Do they just pierce them out in the open where all the customers are? Or are pharmacies different to chemists?

... to me chemists and pharmacies are the same thing... actually i think pharmacies wouldnt do it....
It depends on where you go, but sometimes they have a little room you go into, other times you just sit near the make-up section (in my experience anyway) on a chair and they just do it there. No big deal, only takes a second.

Well i have three piercing all done at beuatition. if getting you lobes done that is the way to go in my opinion. My third hole up higher was done at a beuaty salon and didn't turn out quite right so i am letting it finish closing and going to the tatoo palor. (it is a highly recomended place not slumsville city just to reassure) my mom who is 50 got her nose done there.

I got mine done at a chemists, and most of them do do it, for simple ear jobs. Tattoo parlors are pretty good for all the other piercings... but you just ask them, i'm sure you'll find most chemists offer it

When I was 11 I got my ears peirced the first time, but (this is going to gross people out) the studs were so small that they fell in my ear and grew over. Then I had to go to a docter to get them cut out! But I got my ears peirced again at a hairdressers.

Buneater & Arien, I don't have anything pierced either. I'm too scared of needles Huzzah for the unpierced! Let's form a club. The main reason I have never had anything pierced is because of the metal factor. I just couldn't deal with having a rod of metal stuck through my ear lobe. Glurk. Dani> that was completely disgusting! It must have felt terrible. I certainly hope you didn't go back to that place again.

I got mind done when i was 10. At the chemist.
One ear got infected though, and swelled up so much that it sorta encased the front of the stud. It eventually died down a bit though and we managed to change the earing to a bigger stud. It's never gotten down to the size of the other one though. It's not noticeable or anything, that lobe is just a bit bigger than the other and I have to be careful when I wear studs cause the back can often fall off from that ear.

I got my ears pierced when I was six and have had no problems with them at all. And Min their are no needles involved (at least when I went ;D) , they used this thing which looked a bit like a very small gun - it had a trigger and everything ! It did hurt a lot but nothing that a chocolate icecream couldn't fix ;D. And then when my sister went and got her ears pierced recently she got numbing cream and couldn't feel a thing.

I got this spray stuff that helped fight the infection and the pain. It hurt a bit when it happened, mostly they felt hot and sore, but the spray helped.
